Does anybody know if V2 is back running yet. It didn't run Friday or Saturday. The train was in front of the loading station. Going Friday hoping to get V2 and Goliath rides.
I don't think it would but it sure would be nice. I've always wanted things like V2's Stall brakes or Demon's Blood Waterfall to return during the 40 Season Celebration. Or even X-Flight's water fountains.
^ Yeah. Cause pretty much right when I was tall enough to ride it they stopped using the stalls. And X-Flights water fountains-must be the cheapest things ever if they only last like 2 years

Demons waterfall eroded The track that's why they replaced the track section that the waterfall would go by with a piece of shock waves
Can someone please explain the stall? Would the train actually stop at the top of the Vertical tower? I'm not sure if I've ever ridden V2 like that, I have been riding it since about 2010...

When v2 originally opened when the ride would go up the straight tower a set of holding brakes would kick in for a few seconds and keep the train from going forward, leaving you staring down at the water below. Then the brakes would shut off and the ride would continue. It was awesome!
I've heard that lightning blew the LIMs and they are too costly to replace. Also heard it put too much stress on the track. Whatever the case I don't believe it will ever return

Whats odd though is that the waterfall is still running in Cali and doesn't seem to be causing any problems. I just wonder why the same effect was so problematic here, but not over there.
Their demon doesn't have the cool light tunnel though, so ours is still better.

It's not only that but LIM's aren't exactly cheap to replace. From what I know, V2's brakes are completely disconnected so there's no way they're coming back.

This is very unlikely, but what if the park decides to remove this? I mean, it's been down for 75% of the whole season, and the park is very slow at finding a permanent solution to the problem(s). If they do remove it, there isn't much to replace it. The best they can do is add a Premier Rides Sky Rocket II(S:UF at SFDK). It's a launched coaster that's quite slim, and from what I've heard, is very fun, and could to the park well. It doesn't even need any effects. Again, all theoretical.

It's very unlikely. Wicked Twister at Cedar Point has also been down practically the whole season as well, which is interesting. I just don't think we should start jumping to conclusions yet. Give it more time, (i.e. Midway or through the end of the season), and maybe the possibility of the ride being removed would make more sense. The park has only been open for a few weeks anyway...

Couldn't Intamin get creative and maybe add a couple of supports from the top of the holding brake support to a couple of footers on the ground? It is Intamin's fault anyway that there is too much fatigue on that end of the ride. Six Flags corporate should hold them accountable to get that holding brake operationable and stable again.
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
^ All Impulses had to get extra supports(not directly into new footers), after swaying track was getting 'out of hand'. Sure, Six Flags could hold Intamin accountable, but they could've done that years ago.
And Intamin is already on the decline, so this will only further their failure.
