On my first-ever ride I'm going to lead a RMC chant all the way up the lift hill.

I have to give props to this construction crew. Especially to the ones who don't live local. It's kind of like being deployed for a long period of time without seeing your family and friends.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

This is a brilliant idea! We should all get this going.

I would say either, a residence inn close by or they are staying at the Six Flags spot where they place the internationals for summer.

Just a few photos from today. They were welding up on the overbank, not sure why.

Just to clarify, the lift motor was not tested today.

Possibly reinforcement for the strain on the track and supports when the train hits that section.

Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.

They might be thinking that there will be alot of stress on the area and want to stop something before it becomes a problem. Maybe the engineers saw something in the computer animation that made them decide that there needed to be strength added to the structure. Just my 2 cents based on I was a welder and helped design industrial blowers.

Ok, someone on TPR said they were at the park today and that it was testing. I shouldn't have believed them I guess.

TPR is a creditable and trust worthy source. Testing might have already begun, or will begin in a day or so.

I was there and didn't see any motor testing but there were a lot of workers at the top of the lift. I'm sure that it will test by the end of the weekend if not the start of next week. It's only of matter of finishing the grout and getting the rest of the trains into the station etc. Also does anyone know if a tarp or some sort of cover will go over the beginning added part of Goliath's queue. I'm not exactly sure, as it would look out of place so probably not but you never know.

There wasn't a cover over the queue that was there for Iron Wolf, so I would say that a cover wouldn't be added. Also, will there be pictures in the frames for the station that the artwork shows, or will it stay as it is.

Before any testing can begin, we need to see a pull through/clearance test first.

^ They've already started checking clearances. The crane in the turnaround has also been moving a reach envelope frame around.
