I have to give props to this construction crew. Especially to the ones who don't live local. It's kind of like being deployed for a long period of time without seeing your family and friends.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Possibly reinforcement for the strain on the track and supports when the train hits that section.

Most definitely, but why now? I thought they had the over banked turn done for a while now
They might be thinking that there will be alot of stress on the area and want to stop something before it becomes a problem. Maybe the engineers saw something in the computer animation that made them decide that there needed to be strength added to the structure. Just my 2 cents based on I was a welder and helped design industrial blowers.

It is a thing of beauty though. I can't wait to get on this thing.

I was there and didn't see any motor testing but there were a lot of workers at the top of the lift. I'm sure that it will test by the end of the weekend if not the start of next week. It's only of matter of finishing the grout and getting the rest of the trains into the station etc. Also does anyone know if a tarp or some sort of cover will go over the beginning added part of Goliath's queue. I'm not exactly sure, as it would look out of place so probably not but you never know.

There wasn't a cover over the queue that was there for Iron Wolf, so I would say that a cover wouldn't be added. Also, will there be pictures in the frames for the station that the artwork shows, or will it stay as it is.
