Usually SFGAm sends a whole team of people including the PR lady (who's name I cant remember for some reason), a person or 2 from operations and usually the GM. In the distant past the GM would stand off to the side and observe and basically run out to start the car in the last few mins of the presentation so they don't have to waste a second getting out of there. After Jim Wintrode though the GM's seem to be more open to speaking. However if something isn't official or they don't get an ok from Corporate to speak about stuff (Chang) they will refrain from comment or give the same spiel that Shapiro gave in the shareholder conference how that Chang has been removed from SFKK and will be sent to another Six Flags Property in 2011.
They do still however for the most part show up 5-10 mins before their presentation and they are out the door immediately after they present. They don't hang around.

^ So If the CHANG question arises, will they just totally discredit it, or will they say, "It's all a part of the master plan!" as Shapiro commonly does.
They will say what I've said twice before in this thread.
Either
A. We have no comment at this time.
or
B. Chang has been removed from SFKK and will appear at another Six Flags property in 2011.
It's not that hard of a concept to understand. They are a company with a set of rules and stockholders to answer to. They will not break those rules for you nor anyone else at NCC. They will say exactly what corporate tells them to say, nothing more. If they are hounded repeatedly about it, they will simply pack up and leave early.

Yep, B&M magnetic brakes consist of 2 horizontal aluminum fins mounted at the top of the block on the center of the train that the regular brakes grab. The regular brakes work as normal. That's why those magnets are mounted so high. This system debuted on Nitro at SFGAdv.
My question on this system is why are trim brakes normal friction brakes rather than the much simpler magnetic brakes. With magnets you don't need any wiring for sensors, pneumatics or anything. Also the air gap can be set to always have the train leave the brake at the same speed, and if the train is going to slow it doesn't apply any braking at all. The friction brakes do the same thing, but they need pneumatics and a bunch of sensors to see how fast the train is going, then the computer has to determine how much braking to apply to get the train down to the specified speed. Seems to much easier especially on rides like Diamondback, Nitro and Intimidator amongst other B&M Hypers where you have trims literally 1000+ feet away from the station/control rooms.

Gulf Coaster lasted for less than one season before it was scrapped.
Also for NoCoaster, Brooke Gabbert's last day at the park was Dec 18 and no one apparantly has been hired yet. I have to guess seeing as they are getting little dipper, they wont ditch NCC entirely. It will be interesting to see what they come up with
If anyone is qualified and interested, or know someone who is. You or your friend can get a job where you are extremely overworked and underpaid with no appreciation what so ever. And on top of that you have to wrangle people similar to those who appear on these boards...
Will the park be holding another, "Look-a-Like Mr. six" contest this year? If So,expect me to be there. AND WIN! Just gotta shave my head, and get the glasses!

I remember one of the old PR people leaving SFGAm in favor of Keylime Cove...which certainly says something about the payscale . I think Jim Taylor did a great job making a connection with the parks fans using the podcast and even posting on our boards. Dont know what hapenned to him but some former SFGAm execs have done really well for themselves. Ron Sevart is now the CEO of the Space Needle in Seattle and Tim Black left SFGAm after less than one season and is the VP of Operations now for Great Wolf Resorts.
Also at NCC 2003 SFGAm's reps showed up wearing Superman capes but refused to acknowledge anything about the ride as it wasnt announced yet.
Well Tim Black got a bad deal from SF. After being at SFGAm for about a season and liking it, corporate moved him to SFGAdv, before he could even show up there he quit and went to Great Wolf. Pretty cool with Ron Sevart, he seemed like a good guy, to bad Fun Forrest at the base of the Space Needle is now gone.
