Six Flags Great America/Hurricane Harbor: Guess what a little bird delivered today? Pieces of the Little Dipper have started arriving and we’re itching to get started on it. Are you going to be in line to ride this historic coaster when it opens?

It would be cool if they Take some of the flat rides out of Bugs Bunny National Park & move them into the Hometown Park area. This way they could technically have another area for kids & also make way for Little Dipper.

I went by Great America this morning and there was a truck there waiting by the security entrance with a bunch of wooden supports stacked on it. I went back later with a camera and it was all unloaded near their graveyard by the train (SFGARR) maintenance building. The picture is not great as I was behind the fence so I was not trespassing. Looks like the Little Dipper has started to arrive at the park.
Where am I suppose to post pictures on this site? I looked in Photozone, but do not see anywhere that makes sense for this attraction.

Also SSA looks like it is now 100% removed. Last week there was only a few yellow support structures left, but they were gone today.
Nothing new on Chang.

Something is yelling Thomas Town to me.

2011 Gift? Along with Chang? Wouldn't mind if we get Chang and this.

No, we just got Wiggles in 2007 and along with that we have Bugs Bunny Park and Camp Cartoon for the kids. 3 is enough.

Plus Little Dipper will augment one of the kids areas.

I don't see anything anywere that even remotely whispers Thomas Town. We have 3 kids areas. Little Dipper will still be called Little Dipper as confirmed by the park multiple times. I don't see where you're coming from.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to re-theme Camp Cartoon or Bugs Bunny National Park to Thomas Town. Should help them move a little more merchandise.

Thomas The Tank Engine, as awesome as I found it as a kid, is way outdated in this day and age. SF should find more modern stuff. While I probably wont like the more modern stuff, I'm not the primary target audience of the kids area :)

Are you kidding? We thought Wiggles World would be the last kid addition for a while, but they went and added Buccaneer Battle.

^Buccaneer Battle is a family attraction and I usually saw families riding it unlike wiggles where its mostly kids riding. Huge difference.

^ Yes, BucBattle is definitly an Family attraction. The difference between a family attraction and a kiddie attraction to me is, would a 12-16 year old get bored on the ride? Then again, that does make Spacely's Sprocket Rockets a family ride.

Yeah I guess they keep adding more kiddy rides than actual adult rides/coasters. Ive seen the POV Videos for the Little Dipper. Im kinda dissapointed that Little Dipper is for kids. The videos were so short and it doesnt look that exciting. Was it Kiddielands most intense ride? I was hyped about the Little Dipper but now im not after actually seeing it. Oh well, gotta please kids too right? I hope the kids enjoy it next year. Us adults get a new coaster in 2011. :D

^ Puh-lease. The ride's name is LITTLE Dipper. What the hell were you expecting  I guess you'd be much happier if SFGAm got nothing this year and didn't take advantage of a inexpensive opportunity to increase our coaster count and save a historic local coaster that many adults rode when they were kids. Thank god you're not in charge. Our park would be nothing but large coasters, with nothing else for anyone to do.

^^ This adult would pick a ride on the Little Dipper over some of the "adult" coasters at the park.

Posibly going in SWF's spot? Sizes seem about the same, and I don't think it would be a bad spot for a little coaster like Little Dipper.

So then the Go Karts will be scrapped, along with GAR, if Chang does in fact end up in SSA's spot.

So are you saying that you saw new wood (aka Little Dipper) starting to take shape near Eagle? If that's the case, looks like I have to make a trip out to the park and check things out.......

Well, kind of behind it, it almost kind of looked like it was eagle, but you could tell it wasn't because of how small the drop was
