Six Flags Great America/Hurricane Harbor: Guess what a little bird delivered today? Pieces of the Little Dipper have started arriving and we’re itching to get started on it. Are you going to be in line to ride this historic coaster when it opens?
It would be cool if they Take some of the flat rides out of Bugs Bunny National Park & move them into the Hometown Park area. This way they could technically have another area for kids & also make way for Little Dipper.
I went by Great America this morning and there was a truck there waiting by the security entrance with a bunch of wooden supports stacked on it. I went back later with a camera and it was all unloaded near their graveyard by the train (SFGARR) maintenance building. The picture is not great as I was behind the fence so I was not trespassing. Looks like the Little Dipper has started to arrive at the park. Where am I suppose to post pictures on this site? I looked in Photozone, but do not see anywhere that makes sense for this attraction. http://changsfgam2011.blogspot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also SSA looks like it is now 100% removed. Last week there was only a few yellow support structures left, but they were gone today. Nothing new on Chang.

Plus Little Dipper will augment one of the kids areas.
I don't see anything anywere that even remotely whispers Thomas Town. We have 3 kids areas. Little Dipper will still be called Little Dipper as confirmed by the park multiple times. I don't see where you're coming from.

Thomas The Tank Engine, as awesome as I found it as a kid, is way outdated in this day and age. SF should find more modern stuff. While I probably wont like the more modern stuff, I'm not the primary target audience of the kids area

^ Yes, BucBattle is definitly an Family attraction. The difference between a family attraction and a kiddie attraction to me is, would a 12-16 year old get bored on the ride? Then again, that does make Spacely's Sprocket Rockets a family ride.
(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow... 2010 trips- Dollywood, SFGAm, maybe SoCal

Yeah I guess they keep adding more kiddy rides than actual adult rides/coasters. Ive seen the POV Videos for the Little Dipper. Im kinda dissapointed that Little Dipper is for kids. The videos were so short and it doesnt look that exciting. Was it Kiddielands most intense ride? I was hyped about the Little Dipper but now im not after actually seeing it. Oh well, gotta please kids too right? I hope the kids enjoy it next year. Us adults get a new coaster in 2011.
^ Puh-lease. The ride's name is LITTLE Dipper. What the hell were you expecting I guess you'd be much happier if SFGAm got nothing this year and didn't take advantage of a inexpensive opportunity to increase our coaster count and save a historic local coaster that many adults rode when they were kids. Thank god you're not in charge. Our park would be nothing but large coasters, with nothing else for anyone to do.
Onto construction news, on Wednesday, I saw a small dip of a white wooden coaster right by the american eagle

So are you saying that you saw new wood (aka Little Dipper) starting to take shape near Eagle? If that's the case, looks like I have to make a trip out to the park and check things out.......
Well, kind of behind it, it almost kind of looked like it was eagle, but you could tell it wasn't because of how small the drop was
