Z-Force was a great ride when it was new at Great America- it was so unique- like a wild mouse with upsidedown/sideways turns instead of hairpin ones. Too bad Magic Mountain let it fall into disrepair (now called "Flashback" at MM). To the best of my knowledge, it's the only coaster like it. I would love to ride it again. The best part was heading slowly across the top toward the first flip turn/drop!
it's possible, I think there were some rumblings that it may be relocated within the park, but it's in really bad shape and it'd take alot of $$ to get it back to operating condition, plus when it was open at SFMM it was very un popular, either due to it's wacky location or the sheer brutal ride it gave or both. I dont think SF will re use it. If they can sell it, more power to them, but I dont see parks climbing over one another to get ahold of it.

I think it would be nice if GAm had some sort of record breaker. Even though there isn't much room, look at the past record breaking coasters; and, to stay true to the thread, has IW broken any records before?
/\ I thought that could be Shockwave and the removal of Shockwave with some people.
No, IW was not the first stand-up, the first one was Dangai around 1982 at Thrill Vallley in Japan. IW was the first coaster designed by B&M with Gio manufacturing the supplies, as stated before.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Shockwave wasn't rough! It just... built character.. Yeah... thats it.
Nah, I realize it must have been, since I've heard so many people (mostly girls with pierced ears actually) complain. But, I never had any problems. I'm tall, and I always had my head pushed back against the headrest and it never slammed around that much.
I never thought Shockwave was that rough either. The crazy batwing/boomerang element after the block maybe bumped you around a bit, and flying into the block was kind of hard on you. I miss it though...
I agree. It's too bad that GAm couldn't build S:UF without demolishing a ride. Shockwave was quite a sight to see. But, on the other hand, it was a pain to maintain.

im sure that there were plenty of reasons to replace shock wave (but i loved that ride)... but back on topic, Iron Wolf is rough, but it still brings the thrill on! (Update: sorry for the bad grammar before... my wireless keyboard was running low on battery)

If GAm decided that they wanted to knock down a coaster to build another coaster on the same site, do you think that Iron Wolf would be the most likely canidate? Also, do you think that someday in the near future that American Eagle's life is in jeopardy?
^^ there is no way to know what SF will take out or leave in the park. I believe AE will be around for a long time. They have spent the last few years replacing track.
I think the eagle and ironwolf are the hightest on the chopping block.
Eagle_getting old, not as exciting as some other rides
Iron wolf-starting to get rougher and harer to ride
i dont think theyll touch superman or bull for a while. if they take the whizzer down, well(remember 2002!) they wont mess with V2 or deja vu, no point, they dont take up a lot of room. and batman is still popular, so yeah, eagle and wolf, in my opinoin will be the first ones to get the saced, but i think they'll dispose of wolf first.
