Info: |
Operated from 1976-1979 as Turn of the Century featuring two bunny hills instead of the loops. In 1980 it was rethemed to a roller coaster that had been possessed by a supernatural being, two loops were added, rock formations and a blood red waterfall was added, and the ride was painted black. The Demon continues to be a popular and classic staple of Great America's coaster lineup.
The trains have changed their look several times, the black train used to have a red stripe but now has no stripe with flames on the front car. The original logo was restored on the trains for Fright Fest 2006 then was airbrushed on the front of the trains a few years later |
