Not really, I had never been on any other supermans that where the same as ours. Also most of the GP doesn't travel to as many parks as alot of people on this site do, which means the GP doesn't know about the other rides being the same or they really don't care.
What msoeagle and I have been trying to say is just that there is a certain feeling that is different when you get an original design than when you get a clone. Look at it this way, if Six Flags Magic Mountain had announced that they were adding Superman, Ultimate Flight next year as their new flying coaster, would you be as excited as you are with the announcement of Tatsu? That is the difference. Clones are great, but there is just that extra sense of excitement that is missing and that is all we are saying.
Also, as far as this work ethic into building clones versus building an original ride, there is a difference in work. Unless you can tell me that the IDENTICAL amount of work went into building Batman at our park versus building Batman in St. Louis, then there is a difference. Like I said, not a huge difference, but a noticable one.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Six Flags has more parks then any other park chain.
Clones don't matter to the average park goer because they don't know it's a clone.
All of Six Flags parks are regional parks which means they aren't destination parks.
Unless you are a well travelled enthusiast to many parks which makes up less than 1% of this business, why should companies care that they are putting in clones?
When you own 30 parks, you aren't going to customize every coaster you install, it's that simple.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

If they put it on the side of that hill I'd be excited...
I was excited over V2 and Deja Vu and they were clones.
When S:UF made it's debut I was exicted.
When Cajun made it's debut I was excited.
You can't put a point on clones because the reason they are cloned is because they are extremely successful and are a hit with the public. They clone them for a reason, and most of the time they aren't poopy.
The only logical reason I can think of that more than one park has a Vekoma Inverted is that Hang N' Bangs are actually a virus, and an epidemic broke out, and those parks that were unfortunate enough to catch the disease got them.
Or because they are cheap, either one.

I heard that D Vu' at SFOG was doing a consistent job this year. I know that it was doing a really bad before this year though.

How are they any differnt??? It's still a new coaster that you couldnt ride anything like it unless you took a trip 1/2 way across the country on your little 10 speed bike. Would you rather have a new coaster that is a clone or nothing at all???

You dont get the point, im not saying clones are bad, im saying its not as good as something original. Wouldnt you rather have gotten and original flying coaster than suf?
