Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

What amusement park do you think has the most downtime with its rides? The clear notorious winner is SFMM.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

You can tell its the offseason...

Id have to say that SFMM might not have the most downtime, It really depends on whats your definition of downtime... I.E. is the ride broken? or is it downtime because the ride is not staffed.

If its because the ride's broken id have to say that Cedar Point might have the most because of TTD.

If you include Staffing/Broken Rides then SFMM then.

^ Well kind of both. I do agree that TTD has a lot of downtime.

Most downtime?

Any standing but not operating park.

But seriously, SFMM is just ridiculous with closed rides.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I think that the Disney parks would be up there too because they are constantly closing attractions for months on end for refurbishing.

Parks that are open every day of the year like disney park have to rehab rides when the park is open to guests which is understandable. But parks that are seasonal should get almost all of the rehab work doen in the offseason and not have rides like Condor down half the year when they had all off season to rehab it.
As for SFMM they have way too many rides that arent being rehabed, they just dont operate them.

I completely understand that, however, since it was my first time in Florida this past January, I made some observations. We were at Disney for 4 days and universal for 3 days. There was not a single attraction down at Universal, minus Nickelodeon Studios. When we were at Disney, It's A Small World, Astro Orbiter, Wonders Of Life (The entire pavilion), The Land (The entire pavilion), The Living Seas (I am only 70 percent sure on whether it was the whole thing, but i know at least part of it was), and Honey I shrunk the Kids movie set adventure. I know that disney has twice as many parks as Universal, but still, Disney had a lot of downtime.

Last time I seen two rides (Typhoon and Himalaya) closed out of all the rides in the park. Typhoon is basically just a piece of junk. The Himalaya is quite old. Disney rides have to be somewhat closed because the parks are open all year. At SFOG, there was quite a bit of downtime at one point when I was at the park, and then everything started to open.
