Its an altered clone....with many major differences. I see it as not a clone. If Viper is a clone than KindaKa is a clone of dragster, which they are comptly not. All the way down to the control panels they are different.
Technically Deja Vu is a clone, but I wouldn't include it cause it is the only consistent operating GIB (giant inverted boomerang) named Deja Vu, I dont know how Stunt Fall is doing.
Viper is not a clone, it was designed and built by Six Flags Great America as a Cyclone coaster, but altered and only one with that layout, therefore, it is not a clone
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Demon was never a clone at SFGAm......it was in first, therefore the other one was a clone, not ours.......
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!
^I think what he is getting at is that when the new attraction is not a clone, the park tends to put more effort into making the ride different from others. It gives the park a more personalized look. That's at least how I feel about clones. When a park clones a ride, it kind of seems like they didn't want to spend any time planning out the ride.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Thats ridiculous.... Rollercoasters, clones or otherwise take tons of planning.
People who complain about clones in my opinion, are the same group of yahoos that complain about Scream being a "parking lot" coaster or something really stupid like that.
^First of all, people's opinions aren't stupid. Who are you to say what is normal to look for in a coaster.
Second of all, even putting in a new sidewalk takes planning, but obviously not as much. By building a clone, the track layout and all of the work that goes into making sure a design works is already taken care of. All of the ideas needed in creating a theming for the ride is taken care of. I did not say that it doesn't require work, it just requires a lot less work.

I like to think that i think rationally, unlike people who get all pissed off over a freaken rollercoaster thats built over a parking lot...
Secondly, How can you figure that the track layout is all planned out already? The blueprint for a clone will be out there but the plan? No.. doesnt work like that... As i said before rollercoasters clones or otherwise need alot of planning.
