I miss Power Dive alot, but Madri Gras was probably the best for that area as it had been pretty dead between 2001-2004.

King Chaos is alright, but was more intense last year. I hate the restraints.

Well, they didn't really take out the spaceship ride for mardi gras, it was gone for at least one full season before mardi gras was built. I remember walking by there in 2003 and seeing a station with no ride (Powerdive) and a bare patch of grass (Cajun Cliffhanger). Mardi Gras was the rethemeing of an area that wasn't themed too well before. Jester's Wild Ride replaced an empty patch of grass, Big Easy Balloons replaced an open garden/pavilion like the one in the center of Hometown Square, and Ragin' Cajun replaced a bridge that was closed for the Picnic Grove anyway. Also, King Chaos was built on the spot of Powerdive, so it isn't that big of a loss. Overall, i was very happy with the addition.

I like how they rethemed the area into Mardi Gras. The rides are good, especially Chaos and Cajun. :D

chaos is intense i hate those restraints to! they like literally crushed me last year and my friend kristen had keys in her pocket they dug into her skin and now has a permanent scar.... she laughs about i though and said that it was a fun time. we went on it without knowing what it did so it was a fun time. i personally like Riptide at Valleyfair better just because it sprays water at you.

^ They prpobably won't.

Anyway, I think Mardi Gras is a great area! It's nice for families, and has excellent theming, which most of the park lacks.

ok i see your point. but dont you think that gam IS an overall family area? besides B:TR, RB, chaos, and a couple other parks, there are like no thrill rides. I was just saying that if they would take out a dull area (which it was, yes) to put in some rides teens would enjoy, thats all.

cajun cliffhanger was a ride where you were up against a wall then spun really fast. G's kept you against the side. then the floor would drop out so your dangling in mid air. they closed it because a girl got her foot stuck when the floor was coming up. I heard it was really bloody. But it was kinda her fault because she took off her shoes and went bare footed.

I rode that ride a few times. It was a pretty cool if you like to spin very fast. But I like how they did change it that part of the park it look very nice.

Ok, for one there was already a whole argumentable(or however you'd say it) topic on this

Two...in that topic there was a link explaining the incident with a photo...she had her shoes on, they show it caught and flattened between the floor and wall....

So, even though I brought this up, dont start another conversation about how you think this girl was stupid, this or that and what not ....please. The topic is ah...oh yes...

MARDI GRAS....finish your discussion
