A sports themed area featuring some of America's greatest sports. Imagine a ride dedicated to America's pastime 'Baseball' in a park named Great America.
Well seeing that its great america, I had plans to turn a section of county fair into something like "the wooded wilderness for a monster within it " I dont know what I would seriously name the section but, it will be for the ride.... The entire theme would be based off a forest preserve and lake or lakeside. As I discussed before I would remove SWF for a hydro coaster and make it the wettest water ride on the planet. This ride would consist of the lake setting and the coaster would be some sort of creature/monster within it....Like the gator in lake placid?(yeah....a gator ), anyways....
So the rest of the small chunk would have log cabins with alot of newly planted and fake timber and evergreen trees. The shops would be all cabin wooden like and as said above the trees all around the lake and what not...so there it is .....this will be around one ride...
Ok I edited it above cause I see where you thought what I really meant

I think it would be cool to go all out with the batman theme in Yankee Harbor. Repaint Ice Mountain Splash all blue and white and call it The Penguin's River Rampage. Squeeze a red, suspended coaster like Iron Dragon at Cedar Point amongst the flume rides and call it Robin's Rocker. Redecorate East River Crawler after Batman Begins and call it Scarecrow's Spinner. Paint V2 green and black and call it Riddler's Repeat. Move Whirligig elsewhere in the park and add a Sling Shot ride in the middle with the name Joker's Jail.
However, i think it would be even better to make a new section themed towards the Great America idea. In that case, i mentioned in another topic about changing the area by Sky Trek Tower into a Midwest themed area. Sky Trek Tower can be renamed Sears Tower Lookout. Replace stargate and Winner's Circle with a roller soaker with the name Mississippi River Ride. Then, put a flying scooters ride (Air crow at Indiana Beach) in the middle of the section and call it Windy City Windsurfer. Finally, turn the Pictorium into a ride like the Great Smokey Mountain Adventure at Dollywood with a Great Lakes theme. That's my idea.
Keep in mind, with both areas, theming would take pride over the rides.

I would make the old Plymouth Place into a Chicago themed area. Turn SSA into a house of blues (since that's what Chicago's famous for) or something, Rename STT into Windy City Tower, Build Power Dive in that small area between the Pictorium and the coin-game and re-name it Test Flight, and have resturaunts themed like some in downtown Chicago.

I think it would be good to tear up the Southwest Amphitheatre and build a Grand Canyon replica. ROFL! That'll fit in with the Southwest theming!
I didn't find any time to think of a new section for the park simply because there may be no more land left and HH caused enough parking issues. Log cabins may be nice but we already have a section applicable on that (Yukon Territory). Maybe they could expand it if they gutted the Wilderness Theatre and put in a few flats and an Elmer Fudd log cabin which served smoked foods. I think smoked foods would certainly fit in Yukon and Southwest.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."

That is very similar to what i said

Ive been drawin' out plans for my long awaited hydro coaster. I've been designing various "boats" so the splash divides the water to curl if you will, onto the boat as the rest moves outward, leaving riders shower like soaked and onlookers wet as well.
If you read my post above youll read I intend to have it a demonic like gator who rules a lake, so the cars or boats will have a bitten or chomped motif looking as if the gator snapped into the boat. This will leave some riders with no sides to their vehicle giving off a feeling of emptiness and insecurity as there will be nothing to contain them but the seats they sit in:o ....
Ive actually thought that over before, like a corkscrew out of tunnel after the drop....but, I had to think about the g's and my main concern: would that turn down different families?
I need to at least make it have a begining flume section and a visual "walk through" such as poseidon for example. If you look at poseidon, it appears family and teen like oriented and still thrilling. My point is, that I do intend to draw thrill seekers, but all people such as T.S.I.T(thrill seekers in training )
Its hard though cause I do want it to be intense but families draw a crowd....so tell me...should I create a major league thrill or a nice packed family thrill?
going back to what gottastratta33 said, YOU MUST BE BLINDED!!! SFGAm already has a wilderness themed area. Did you forget about YUKON TERRITORY?!?!?!? I mean there's the loney tune lodge (gift shop), moose burger lodge, LOONEY TUNE NATIONAL PARK? and CAMP CARTOON NETWORK! Also, yankee harbor kinda has that kinda theming too. Don't forget the lake/pond that ice mountain splash and loggers run go over.
But, dont get me wrong, two would be nice but they would never do it.
Well yeah, I know this. Im saying theme this ride around a lakey wilderness setting(just the ride) because for water coasters you need a little lake for the water to go in, so the ride its self would take up a section of county fair by replacing SWFalls. Not devote a "territory" that large to wilderness!
I just had a plan to create a better hydro coaster/ride if SWF was replaced and rides are better with a theme, there is no room unless they take out a bigger ride in yukon to place this within it, which is more costly and Im not blind I see it sitting there quite lifelessly all the time, thank you
v2guy13... You need to realize that having names with the word "Territory" in it and actually being wilderness themed are two totally different things. When you walk through Yukon Territory, do you feel like you're actually in the wilderness? I'm thinking no. That's theming that needs work. But yet in Southwest Territory, do you feel like you're in some deserted ghost town (with the exception of SFGAm crowds.)? Probably, or at least somewhat. That's an example of good theming.
"And that farm girl walked off with slippers off a dead woman? She must have been raised in a barn!" ~Wicked, an excellent musical
Thank you, thats true. However its just like theming Batman in the middle of yankee harbor. I just wanted a themed "area" for a coaster, not a territorry
My logos are coming out alright, I just have the gator I dont know what to name it, but Ill cook up somethin'....I intended a while ago when I knew about plans for Hurricane Harbor, that this hydro/water coaster would be half in GAm and the other in HH, and I called it Wicked EEl, but it sounded like a mix of WickedTwister and Steel EEl....? I wanted more creativity for this one.
alright alright im sorry. you are right, yukon territory doesnt make you feel like your in the wilderness. i miss read the post and thourht you wanted to completely take out county fair. my bad
i love the idea of yankee harbor being turned into gotham city

^I dont see the need for gotham city seeing SFMM alredy has one. We can get more creative and some individuality....Look at the golden kingdom, no other Six Flags has that...its creative and unique
