I got bored yesterday so i took an old copper wire spool and made it into a flying rocket. I flew it today and it was sort of funny. I have the video here.

I used B6-2 motor, I would've used a C but I was flying in my front yard and did'nt want it to hit someone's car.

I made another one that uses the D motors, but it doesn't fly as good as the little one.

That thing would be gone in a second if I did that, but it's a good idea!

When I fly the spool I fly in my front yard, but for the rest I fly at the Grayslake Middle School's Soccer Field because I live really close to it. It works fine except almost every time I try to fly there there's kids on the field. :x

They don't land THAT far. They usually stay in the field, land on the school or in a evil tree  .

This place is my high power launch site which is in Burlington, WI. I found out the hard way when I put one 5,000 feet and it landed a mile away. Found it a week later.

The first one is kind of small, but the second one is huge and you feel like your in the middle of nowhere.

Glendale Heights is where NIRA does their monthly launch. I've been there before.

I was there in August. I was the one with the Estes V2 that was a pain in the ass to fly. (Everyone started clapping though when it finally got up there) I also had the very last launch of the day.
