^ Ok. The only thing that I dont believe that scbb11scetch said is that the person brought back a full box of bolts. I could see maybe a few,but Ill go with you binks and say its not true.

Gee. I'm sorry for posting a simple fact. I didn't mean to piss off all the "experts" on here who think they know everything about a park and the way it operates because they buy a season pass every year. I can't believe you flamed me because of a fact that I have witnessed. Yes. Believe it. Bolts fall off the ride. It's old, and they are partially loose for a reason. The ride needs to have some give or the forces from the trains would break the ride apart. Out of 129,720 bolts, I think a box of maybe 25 is a reasonable amount. Now let's all get back on track and marvel at the cool pictures of a great ride being built instead of flaming me some more.

While you knew someone picking up bolts, I believe we have someone posting here that picked up all the paintchips from the ride and ate them.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Are you talking about bolts that fell from construction workers' hands while they were building the ride?

Otherwise, I am telling you that what you say is outright BS. The park would pay to have people picking up trash under a ride, not bolts.

Okay, I shall do a simple math equation to prove this is bologna.

American Eagle opened in 1981, which means it has been open for 25 years. I am assuming the park is open 180 days a year.

You also said that there are 129,720 bolts on the ride. You also said he would pick up 25 bolts a day every day.

So 129,720-(180 days a year*25 years*25 bolts a day) = 129,720-112,500.

So according to your logic, there are 17,220 bolts that currently hold up American Eagle.

Point proven.

Oh yeah, duh.

Maybe I was thinking that only meant every day his friend was at work, not every day of the year. I don't know, I'm starting to confuse myself now. :?

I'm just wondering, If this person's job was to pick up bolt did he also pick up the nuts too or are they still laying under the Eagle?

Also I'm sure they would have used locknuts(nuts like this have been around for decades) on a ride like this so unless the bolts broke they won't just fall out. And wouldn't during daily inspections maintenance would tighten any loose bolts/nuts?
