Not only do i know someone on the dive crew, i know everyone on the dive crew. So no, he wouldn't have gotten "yelled" at by anyone on the crew. Maybe Tony just didn't listen to the instructions he was being given.

I'm guessing you were on the Dive crew.
EDIT: Here's a hint: if you don't want negative criticism, don't ask for any criticism at all.
If the criticism were something realistic it wouldn't bother me, but the dive crew doesn't yell at guests, and the only reason that the crew may have come even close to yelling would be if the guest wasn't listening or if they were doing something wrong.
What good does it do to him to lie about the crew yelling at him. He isn't trying to get a free season pass from other posters on the website. This isn't guest relations. I see no reason for him to lie. I also have had bad experiences with the Dive crew.
And take a look at the post underneath it. Bet you didn't expect that.
It is obvious that you are on the dive crew and feel sorry for yourself because everyone always forgets about upcharge crews. You tried to make your crew look better than everyone else's by stating that they have to actually interact with guests, when in reality, every employee (less management) has to interact with guests in just as positive a manner. Honestly, who cares what people on the boards think? The only crews they (including me) are going to talk about are the major coaster crews (*cough* Deja Vu *cough*) since they spend 90% of their time at major coasters. Don't worry about it man, you're getting the opinions of mostly coaster enthusiasts, not the general public that actually pays $30 for a giant swing dive.
EDIT: (And to be quite honest, no one cares about whoever's sorry a** has to sit over at tube rentals. If you hate your job so much that you'll complain on the boards about it, just quit.)
First of all, i didn't hate my job or i wouldn't be defending my crew on this board. Secondly, tube rentals was not the job i was hired to do and i only got stuck there when we were short staffed. Thirdly, i obviously did expect the response to my post since i was saying how good the dive crew is. And for your info, attractions crews have to deal just a little bit more with guests than rides crews do.
P.S. I can't quit my job in the offseason because i don't work there in the offseason
the crew in the box would not have yelled at you for still haveing your stuff unless they had already told you where to set it down and you had not done so. And my guess is that they did not yell at you because the dive crew is probably the most laid back crew in the park and it takes a pretty annoying guest to get to them. Guests that are really annoying usually are then subject to the crew trying to scare them a great deal.
You know, I respect everyone on this post, so i don't know why you would say something like this. I don't have to impress anyone on this site by lying about something. If i say something, it happened. I know that as i was suiting up to make the jump, the guy said (very nicely ) to take out all loose things. I asked him what should I do with my wallet and phone, and he told me to take them out in the box. For your information, i wrote "kinda yelled" because she didn't blow up yelling. She did however give me that "you should have known better" attitude. As far as this being annoying thing, all i have to say is how rude that was to say. I was scared to death of the thing, therefore i was silent while up there. I know a lot of nice people that work at the park, so i don't give anyone trouble. The girl i was with can vouch for me. Thanks a bunch for the comment.
And to Twixmix and BMRider, thanks for the defense, i appreciate that.

Your opinion is not what everyone is upset over, but how you are voicing it. Being a show-off is just plain rude. Congratulations that you had to stand around on a platform where it's 20 degrees hotter than the rest of the park, who gives a rats a**? And I'm sure that you were on rides, and know everything about what is expected of them? My guess is no.
I really don't think that how I am voicing my opinion is very offensive. My guess is that if someone was saying stuff about the people you spent every day with that you didn't think was true, you would defend them. to Tony, I still don't think that anyone would have yelled at you, but sometimes when trying to scare people (especially someone who is clearly scared as you would have been), some of the crew can go a little overboard. Maybe they were just trying to freak you out more.
Also, I had friends who worked in rides, so I do know a little bit about what was expected of them (some of the dive crew were rides emplyees, and they often said how they would rather be at a ride than out at dive)

Honestly, it would depend on the situation. If there were crew members that I knew were short-tempered or standoffish, then I would admit that, but be satisfied knowing that I myself am not that way and even if the rest of the crew sucks and I didn't, then who cares? Ultimately, you have no control over the rest of your crew.
Now then, what irks me is that you put down other crews to make yourself look better. While it's one thing to point out that you guys do an excellent job at dive, it's another thing to bring about the notion that rides crews are spoiled and have it easy while upcharge crews really deserve the credit.
Really, I don't want to argue with you. This is just plain stupid. However, as Tony has said, just one person seemed a bit standoffish; it doesn't mean the entire crew just plain sucks.
THE WHOLE VIPER CREW!!! They were doing trivia and stuff while people waited, they would even take questions to be asked. FUN STUFF when ur waitin in the viper line which can be irritating after waiting about 1 hour in the first place.

It is offensive in the fact that it implies that i am lying about something and the fact that you were saying i was annoying. I am not lying, and how does giving me the cold shoulder for still having a wallet on me part of scaring me about the ride? The were friendly when i did it a few years ago, but a little cranky that day. That is my opinion, if you don't like it, sorry. If it was you that was up there, learn for next time.

I would like to remind you that you are being an a****** to guests right now that know you work at the park, see you as representing the park, and aren't going to think any different of you or the park whether it is the offseason or not. Being rude is being rude, no matter what season it is. Lose the smart a** attitude and grow up.
Basket "I don't care about my park's guests because it's the offseason" balla
If you don't like what I am saying stop replying. And just wondering, but is there really anything you can do about the fact that you don't like me right now? You don't know who I am or whether I will be working at the park again.
If I don't like what you are saying, I'll make sure you know loud and clear. I, nor anyone else here, don't want jerks like you ruining this forum with a bad attitude. And you, sir, are being one pompous a**.
