...that whenever there's a commercial for SFGAm they never use SFGAm's rides? They didn't even use our Superman for the commercial in 2003. They also use S:UE (SFWoA) instead of V2. Even the HH commercial was showing another water park.

Why would they advertise for SFGAm and not show any of its rides?

Maybe they shot it when the ride/park was finished being built and they just shot something that resembled it. That's just my guss, but it could/is wrong.

They already have footage of other rides and dont want to come out to take more video when what they have works just fine.

I have seen Raging Bull in some.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

That is the one thing i hate about these new commercials. I remember the year that Giant Drop openned, they had a song and everything, all i remember is "are you ready for the drop, let's go to six flags. Where the fun will never stop, let's go to six flags" It was so catchy and they used footage from our park. Even in 2002, they used that simple plan song and they used actual helicoptor pictures from our park. I think Mr. Six has taken away from them shooting the videos at each individual park. That is just my own 2 cents.

The 2002 commercials, the 1998 commercials and the 1999 Raging Bull commercials are the only ones I remember having SFGAm footage.

The reason that they don't use footage from our park is that it is easier to use footage that they already have and the general public will never even notice so why bother.

And think about it, Six Flags begins to pump in the advertisements over a month in advance. Are any of these rides ready that early? They would also have to shoot footage in March when it could still be snowing!

Superman wasn't even ready on Media day, and Hurricane Harbor wasn't even ready a few days before public opening.

Plus all the reasons stated above.

Most Six Flags Commercials that dont talk about a specific ride are UNIVERSAL...they shoot one park, and then each park EDIT The VIDEO and insert there own AUDIO and TEXT to fit there park!!!!

Save money on SHOOTING a commercial seperate for EACH PARK!!!!!

Do you guys remember the 2001 or 2002 commercials when they had all those famous artists sing throughout the commercials and as you said before there were helicopter shots.
My favorite one that I remember most is this......"I, I Wanna be bad, make that feel so good Im a losin all my cool Im about to break the rules...I, I wanna be bad!

Remember this song and commercial with WILLA FORD? She was dancing around the game booths and they zommed out and in on DejaVu going by with riders screamin....these were the BEST commercials. :D

^They used that song on the Website that year also. I remember, the first time i went on that site that year, i jumped a foot not expecting music. The commercials were always exciting for me, now they are just the same thing.

The general public doesn't know what part the footage is from, nor do they care. So, why not? Just use good looking stock video to make the flashiest commercial around.

They were filming at HH on opening day this past year and they said that it was going to be used in a comercial. I didn't see it this year but it may show up in a comercial next year.

I remember that too. See, the commercials stick with you. I didn't know anything about coasters until 2001, so those commercials showed me what the new ride looked like. They used to get me to a point where i would run and get everyone in my family when they came on.

I remember that one. That was when Dino Island opened. I don't know what else opened in 1998, but I remember it.
