When iu watch those special on discovery, they never have anything on sfgam. i think we have a special park that deserves some attention (especcially raging bull)Also does anyone know if discoverys is gonna have any new shows this year? or they gonna be all reruns again?

Discovery Channel already had its shows this year, and it wasn't much of a show. Only 1 show this year, with it being like a reality thing. I thought it was pretty stupid if you ask me.

I agree. That new show was terrible. I think Great America should get more recognition because we have some very good rides.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull

All roller coaster shows are horrible if you ask me. I won't even watch top 10s anymore. I saw 1 good show and it was the one where the showed what the process of building and opening a new coaster. They always show old rides and they are out dated shows.

last month on PBS, they were doing a visual tour of Illinois and they showed Great America and all the rides there, and told about why they were unique or special to the park.....other than that it wasnt something to be sad about missing

I wacthed the rerun of the Top Ten Coasters last night. At the end of the show the host said tell us about your favorite park and our enthusiats will go there. The host also said and maybe next time one of your parks coasters will be on there. The last thing the host said was maybe next time we will have all new list of coasters.I hope they have an all new list. Some of the coasters on that show were nothing much. I hope that one of our coasters is on there next time.

There was a clip a while back on Destinations USA on the travel channel for Chicago. Most of you probably saw this becuase there was at least 10-15 minutes of footage about "Thrills" in Chicago. It started talking about Navy Pier, and then went into to Great America.

On Friday night Discovery Channel had at least 2 shows (reruns) on. The 1st 1 was about coasters in general. The 2nd 1 just plain out $ucked! It was top 10 coasters in the country. They had only 2 coasters i regognized, Raptor and Magnum XL-200.
Its hard to come up with signatures. When I get one it will be right here.

I saw one of those Travel Channel shows. A lot was at Darien Lake with the Slingshot and Superman. I watched it at like 1 or 2 in the morning because I was afraid to turn off the lights. My sister's house has got to be haunted, and it's a bad idea to watch The Ring there when you are there with only a baby and cats that act weird.

SFGAMkid, I was lucky enough to know about that Destinations USA show before hand, and I was able to get it on tape!I thought they did a great job on the coaster footage. They basically did a little spiel on every coaster except Demon, Whizzer, and Spacely's. But, a few days after I taped it, I was watching it again, and found that most of the Deja Vu footage was taken from SFMM, as you can often see their Sky Tower in the background. Otherwise, the rest was all SFGAm!

I've seen some good SFMM and CP coverage on those shows, I even saw one that covered some of SFOG and their standup, the Georgia Scorcher. This surprised me a great deal.
