Yeah thats what I meant twixmix. Expand the lot there then use the parking lot space in front of suf. If sfgam gave the people a lot of money for their houses I think they would be fine. In the parking lot they should have those numbers and stuff up on the light poles so you remember where you parked.
***CP Overrated/Golden Ticket Voting Thoughts***
For what it's worth and not to jam up a very interesting conversation about locating a new coaster a couple of facts about CP's coasters. It's been said that CP isn't overrated but it simply a love of height and speed. This year Magnum XL was voted the 3rd best steel coaster in the world.
Looking at height and speed the for non-CP coasters the lists go like this:
Speed:
Kingda Ka
Dodonpa
Superman: The Escape
Tower of Terror
Steel Dragon
Titan
Goliath
Phantom's Revenge
Xcelerator
Thunder Dolphin
Fujiyama
Desperado
Hypersonic XLC
Nitro
Steel Phantom
Silver Star
Son of Beast (a wooden coaster my god)
Superman ROS
X
Steel Force
Mambo
Colossos (a wooden coaster my god)
Storm Runner
Superman: Ultimate Esape
MAGNUM XL-200 - add in 2 CP coasters and delete 2 woodies and Magnum comes in at 24th place!!
For speed the list goes like this:
Kingda Ka
Superman the Escape
Dragon 2-Loop
Tower of Terror
Steel Dragon 2000
Thunder Dolphin
Fuijyama
Titan
Silver Star
Goliath
Nitro
Speed the Ride
Superman el Ultimo Escape
Mr. Freeze (SFoTx)
Son of Beast (a woodie again)
Mr Freeze (SF St. L)
Pepsi Max Big One
Desperado
Superman Ride of Steel (NE)
Superman Ride of Steel (Darien Lake)
Wild Thing
Xcelerator
MAGNUM XL - again, add in 2 CP coasters and delete a woodie and Magnum gets up to 22nd place
Funny 24th and 22nd places don't equal 3rd place last time I counted?
Given that the same people who vote for "best" coasters are also the same people who vote for "best" park. It seems that either it isn't speed or height that puts CP regularly in first place, rather it may be something else *coughcoughOVERRATEDcoughcough*. Either that or just perhaps CP may be coughcoughOVERRATEDcoughcough. Incidently, I do think like both MF and TTD. I even like Magnum, but 3rd best steel coaster, let's get real.
***SFGAm Coaster Location Ideas***
Anyhow, now that I've responded to the CPfanboys let's get back to the really interesting conversation about where GAm might put another coaster. I've seen the GoKarts/SG area as being a logical place to expand HH (like a master blaster), but I may overrating the peps desire for that type of ride, do you think people would rather have a coaster or a MB?
I think the coaster would be more popular, but the master blaster would still be huge and it would help out Hurricane Harbor a lot!, However, i see that only taking up the space where winner's circle is, not the whole area.

Draining the pond would be a huge mistake since that's where the water from IMS, Loggers Run, and likely Splashwater and Roaring Rapids flows to. Otherwise, where would the water flow?
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

1) YOU CANNOT JUST DRAIN A POND!
The pond is there for water retention from the parking lot. The water has to go somewhere.
2) The pond is in no way connected to any of the water rides in the park. They are fed from municipal lines. There is actually two containment systems for the water. The water in the ride is being constantly fed by pumps from a retention basin, if you shut the ride down (a.k.a. e-stop), the pumps will stop and gravity will force the water back down into the basin. Once the ride is restarted, it takes about 10-15 minutes for the pumps to fully fill the ride again. At the end of the year, even that secondary basin is drained to clean it out and prevent freezing, which would severely damage anything it is sitting in.

That's what I thought. I wasn't sure the pond was connected to all the rides. Now I know it's not connected to any ride at all. But I knew the pond was used for at least something. I'm glad they fixed most of the lot this past season, otherwise most of the lot was used for the retention. You know, with the potholes and warps in the pavement.

The water from Roaring Rapids does not drain into the pond near Whizzer, nor the pond near V2. It drains into 4 reseviors....the main one you see when you are in line, where the floating docks are, and a few hidden behind the park by the employee parking lot. I am pretty sure it works that way for the flumes and SWF as well. The ponds are mearly for rainwater runoff.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!

All ya gotta do is look at the numbers on the light posts. They can usually help.

Why does everyone think that it was better to have Shockwave removed instead of Whizzer. Whizzer is an ok ride but it is not as good, thrilling, intense, fast, tall as shockwave. It wasn't as fun to ride. It doesn't matter if it was your first ride, what about now. Now they are going to remove Whizzer sooner or later no matter what and it is going to be pretty soon. And when they do remove it what could they put there. A B&M Floorless would not fit, well maybe it could I'm really not sure but I think if it could fit it would probably be kind of small. This is why i'm mad. This is what we could have maybe in the future.
SUF in Whizzer's spot.
A very large B&M Floorless in Shockwave's spot.
Instead we have
Whizzer (which is boring)
SUF
This pisses me of like so much.
SFGAm top 4 Coasters
1. Raging Bull
2. Vertical Velocity
3. Batman The Ride
4. Superman
^ Thank the people that complained 3 years ago because they didnt want whizzer removed. I agree that they should have waited to remove shockwave until the next coaster comes.
^Your welcome. I was one of those people and i am proud of doing it. When there are other rides in the park that cause pain (headbanging) and are unliked (heardly any line) they deserve to be taken down first. That, my friends, would be Shockwave. There is no such thing as a ride that does not have it's fans, so their goal was to take down the one with the least amount of fans. That would be shockwave. Since i tend to agree with the general public on opinions, i honestly see Iron Wolf leaving before Whizzer. Whizzer always has a long line and is one of the most comfortable and fun rides there.
And for your information, Gansta Fruit 26, they probably could fit a very large floorless in Whizzer's spot. However, i will argue again if they try because there are way too many people who adore that ride.

Why does everyone always miss the obvious? No coasters have to be removed for SFGAm to get a new coaster. Just take out a flume, we don't need 2 right next to each other.
2 Questions:
For Shock Wave Haters:
Did you ever ride Shock Wave in the back row?
For Whizzer Haters:
Have you ever ridden Whizzer with your significant other?
