Fright Fest on Halloween Night

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Did anyone end up going? Did the rain make any trouble for the scares/did anyone see if they covered the fog machines/lighting?

I went and it was empty. I got on alot of rides. The rain made the fog and lighting look cooler I think. But it mostly started drizzling around 7:30-8:00.

RB - 2
Viper - 2
AE Red - 2
Demon - 2
IW - 1
S:UF - 1
RC - 1
V2 - 1
Whizzer - 1
Superstition - 1
and went through Necropolis once.

It was a great day to go. They didn't come anywhere close to filling the front lot. 50% off everything was an extra bonus. I hope they do this again next year for Fright Fest.

Yeah it was a great day. 5 Viper rides! Three superstitions. A susan Rosan, and all coasters except IW and Whizzer. And many open flats. The Characters were great. They were pretty much allowing them to do whatever they wanted. The girl clown with the knives was snooping around Heroes, trying to get people to eat her pizza. The clowns and pirates were running around Yukon when I was on my way to necro. When I was passing through HTS the clowns all started banging their knives on the commandos helmets! It was priceless. I got a picture of the pirate first mate wandering inside Rue Le Dodge. (2 clowns, a slider and a vampire, all went in! It was hillarious! It was a great day, ending the season on the highest note possible. Great Jop six Flags. GO 2006!

The rain shutdown Whizzer/Rajun Cajan early but didnt have much effect beyond that. Batman was again closed but the lines werent bad at all and the longest i waited was abot 15-20 minutes for Raging Bull.
Other than that most rides had little waits. I walked thru Necropolis and didnt find many characters out there or anywhere else in the park.
And the year ended on a great note as the Viper crew did a excellant job and got on 6 straight rides till it closed!!

Yeah, it figures. Me and a few other people wanted to stay on around 9:15 and the guy who was towards the back of the train checking seats told us we couldn't stay on and had to re-enter the line even though there was nobody in line at the time.

I was on the last three. "While you're waitin' here in line, better take a little time for meditating, 'cause he's waiting, he's the viper!" I was laughing so hard!

it was a great day. I got on all the coasters that were open and the only long wait was for raging bull, which was only like ten minutes. I had a blast walking around the park singing the demon song, and the carosuel song, and trying to take people's nametags, and all that. It was a great night, i 'm glad i went.

I'm really upset that I didn't get to go on Halloween, but I was happy enough to come home on Saturday and see LAFF 4 times again before I had to come back to school, I think i'll return to Six Flags next year for sure, definitly over fall for Fright Fest again because it was the bomb this year, i've never been scared the way I was on Saturday, if anyone wants to see my story check in Area 51 that's where my story is at, it's a funny story.

I went, and it rocked. Even in the rain. The lines were short, the food was cheap, and 5 hours was plenty of time.

I got on more rides yesterday in 4 hours than I did the whole 13 hours Saturday Oct 15.....49k people day!

RB-4 (almost 5, we missed the line closing by like 30 seconds)
Viper-4
Eagle Red-1
V2-1
Superstition-1
S:UF-1
Giant Drop-1
Terror Twister-1
Demon-1

Batman, Ragin Cajun, and Whizzer had already closed when we got to them, Batman for the lift problem, RC and W for the light rain.

So for less than 15 bucks to get in....it was the best day at SFGAm I have had all year....(except the lingering depression that it was the last)

I was at the park and the lines were all very short. The employees didn't care at all last night. We were on the Demon and we wanted to go on again and they just let us ride again. I went on every open coaster in my first two hours of being there! Try doing that during July or August. Food taste so much better when its half price.

Hopefully 2006 is as good of a season as 2005. New Ride????

Did anyone see the cowboys, not the rodeo clowns but the cowboys it's like Dead Slick and his gang or something like that I can't remember but I know that I didn't see them in SWT because I remember that they were there last year but this year I didn't see them and was wondering if they were there or not?

No, No Marshall killin this year. The Whole Dead Mans Gulch/Muerto Mine/Mission De Fantasmas etc.. themeing was all killed. Frankly I would have preferred the cowboys over the Rodeo Clowns.
