It was in 2002, basically the park opened the first weekend of November for a final weekend and had a lot of merchaindise, food, and even admission at a lower price. Fright Fest stuff was still up, but there weren't any actors or anything. It was so cold that the pond actually froze over I believe.

In 2003 they had the park open on the last weekend of November again, but it was still Fright Fest because I believe it was like the 1st and 2nd of November. It was dead again because of cold temperatures.

It was really fun. It seemed that no one was there. They probably won't do that again.

It was just for season pass members in 2002.

It seems like every year we have one of these topcs, and guss what we still have yet to have a last blast. So that means it wont happen.

^Actually, it is now open for halloween this year so you can kind of count that as a last blast.

2002, Half Price day or LAST BLAST, Kiss 1035 Fm chicago was a sponser.....Novemeber 1, 2, 3. i went on the 1st. it wasnt just for season pass holders, because it was sponsered by kiss and they were advertising tickets for it. i remember this becuase i get emails from 1035 kiss fm

I remember there was probably less then 200 people in the park....it was WALK ONS and re-rides on EVERYTHING!!! it was so dead, you would be lucky if you passed someone walking through the park. i remember it was 20 degrees. very cold but very fun

All Food/Merch/Games/Vending machines and all were Half Price......

Im guessing they lost money on that day which is why they have not done it since....i missed it, that was the only time i couild ride raging bull 6 times in a row without getting off lol..... i dont ever remember having to wait for anything, it was all walk ons

Half Price Everything For Bonus Weekend At Six Flags

Eric Gieszl
News Editor

Gurnee, IL -- It may seem like a fire sale, but in reality it's Six Flags way of saying how about one more weekend of fun, but for half the money. Six Flags Great America announced that it will remain open for one additional weekend November 1 - 3 and cut the price for everything in half.

Parking, admission fees, food, games and merchandise will be dropped to half price for the final three days of the season. Hours of operation will be Friday 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Park officials are stating that not all rides and attractions will be operational for the final weekend. The Fright Fest attractions are closed and some other attractions have also closed for the season.

Fortunately for thrill seekers most of the park's major roller coasters will be operating and crowds are not expected to be a problem.
