Question to anyone at JPM

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

So, I watched the freak show. And there's blood. Now, I know you guys don't want to give away your secrets or anything, but I have a question: is my health at any risk getting flung with blood or licking a brain that 35 other people have licked? You don't have to give away secrets, just, is it safe, yes or no?

35 people having licked the brain, I think that is a rather conserative figure :)

Though I'd assume the brain is sanitized on a fairly regular basis.

Though I havent see the freak show yet, really no blood or bodily fluids should ever touch anyone in the audience, though I'm sure anyone who is doing anything on stage that has even a remote chance of drawing blood is probably tested often for any bloodborne diseases.

well, as far as the fear of blood from freak show goes, i have one question? ever licked the brain????? if ya have, i wouldnt be so concerned about blood being flung from show. the same bloodborne pathogens can be transmitted thru the saliva. as far as sterilization goes, nothin is considered hospital sterilized unless it has been heated to a balmy temp of 260 degrees and 26 pounds of pressure for at least 15 minutes, which can only be done in an autoclaive, which would melt the brain to a puddle of sterile goo. so there, did i ease yer worries at all?

Last time I looked, the performers weren't doing stunts where the blood or fluids were spraying people like a sprinkler.

Unless you have open wounds on your body or are worried that this fluid will get you in the eye or mouth, you really have nothing to worry about.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

The brain gets replaced each year. As far as I know, its washed daily, and the caro syrup and food coloring re-applied. However, each of the 200 of you that licked it this weekend might as well have had a big kissing fest or all drank from the same cup.

The Freak show crew does bleed. Its real blood. Gravity should keep most of you safe. Stay behind the chains.

For the balloon/rubber band stunt through the nose and mouth, the actor did fling the remains into the audience. Yes, I was 35. (That was preview night.)

I am somewhat suprised that they even have the brain attraction at all. I mean, that's like Taco Bell or McDonald's saying, "Here, we're serving you a beverage in the same cup that 200 other people have drunk out of." Seems to me that it would violate some sort of health code.

Well I dont know what SES Carny did on that night.. I saw it the one night I got to go and it made me gag *Amazingly* I loved it! I must go back and see it again someday when I have the chance to get out there.

As for the brain.. he has been there for so many years WITH the BRAIN - No one has gotten sick from it, it hasn't killed anyone, it doesnt hurt anyone.. so why complain. If you don't want to lick the yummy goodness the don't. simple as that!

The word "complain" seems to be used lightly on the boards. Maybe because most of you think that by me stating that 12 years old is too youngs to be joking about hoes means that Fright Fest will be ruined forever? Anyways, there was no complaining in any of my posts in this thread. I'm sorry if it sounded that way. Here is a related post of mine in the pirates thread:

/\ The janitor guy in Necropolis? He was very talented. It was a long fight but he finally convinced me to lick that brain. I was number 30-something (He got a chant started with nearby guests. It was actually pretty fun...I wasn't going to look like a wimp so I started compromising with going in haunted houses instead...but in the end I just licked it.) Ewww...

You licked the brain of your own free will, correct?

And you thought you were the first one to do so?

You were right, Mr. Barnum; one every minute.

If you had any idea...

I really shouldn't even be here, so I'm gonna leave it at that. Suffice it to say, I'm laughing my head off over here.
