I think bandwagon jumpers is a term that's over used in sports. in my opinion a bandwagon jumper is somebody who jumps from city to city on which team they root for. For example, last year they were Red Sox Fans, the year before they were Marlins fans and so on.
If a person from Chicago roots for one of thier teams how is that jumping on the bandwagon? Go Bulls!

If you dont care about the Sox in the reg. season, but once they make the playoffs and your a fan, then your a bandwagoner.

Me and my boyfriend were watching the game last night and when they won he got up started jumping up and down while hugging the tv. When the team was in a big huddle jumping up and down he kept saying,"I should be in there, I should be in there." It was hillarious. Right after that we went out side and my dad lit off some fire works and when we were done we could hear tons of other fireworks. It was a moment I'm sure ill never forget.

^Yup, I hugged the TV and then my mom, and my dad. Too bad my g/f is a die hard cubs fan who can't bear to say the Sox usually out peform them every year. I was woken up by some fireworks, which I really didn't mind. Also, I was born on the South Side and have been a Sox fan all my life. In 2003, I spent the year booing the Cubs, but in the Playoffs, I rooted for them. Not because I was all that fond of them, but rather they are a Chicago team, and I love Chicago more than the Sox. Does that make me a bandwagoner? I sure hope not.

I don't live in Chicago or in a suburb of Chicago, so why should I pretend that I am in love with the other team from the city?
