Lots of rides closed today

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby diggerg56 on October 8th, 2005, 4:41 pm
As of when I left the park (just for awhile) at 2:30 quite a few rides were closed. Deja Vu, Blood River (Roaring Rapids), Revolution, King Chaos, Hometown Fun Machine, Fiddlers Fling, Condor. Those were the ones that I noticed anyway.

The park looks great!

the crowds were pretty huge....every show at the pictorium was completely full. We went for one show had to leave because they were full, went for another got in..but people got turned away because it was packed. So the crowds were pretty large today.

The Pictorium holds 980 people, sounds like it was pretty busy today. How did you like the 3D? I saw that movie a few years ago -- the effects were great -- the plot was amusing (the lady and the guitar).

That 3d movie was GREAT!!! The 3d's were outstanding it looked like the trees were 1 feet in front of you. It made you flinch alot cause you think things are coming right at you. I would go again and see it.

Superstition was great, I haven't seen it in 4 years. Alot of bumping around but still great.

The park was dead for a good two hours. Bull got full quick, Giant drop was a walk-on till like 12 or 1 and more people came. Eagle blue was only working, it too was short like 5 min wait, but as soon as I came back the line was getting bigger.

I left at 3:00 p.m. and what I saw rides closed were Roaring Rapids, Condor was just testing, Deja Vu closed, Fliddlers Fling, King Chaos, HTFM, Triple Play, and Revolution.

I never got on Chubasco, it was full.

This Fright Fest to me seems that Six Flags did a great job with the theming way better than last year.

The trolls are nasty people. My son wen't to give them a high five and the troll spit in his hand and then wanted to give my kid a high five YUCK, there was visable spit all over his hand. It was funny but gross.

Lastly it was cold.

Haha... The trolls are the best. Ruk and a couple others have been posting on here lately. Their schtick isn't to be friendly, but to be obnoxious (unless you bribe them with the 25 cent foot massager).

They do a good job. They're both funny and rude but that's what trolls are.

Crowds are light to moderate on Columbus Day. You will most likely have a lot of 10 minute waits or less. It's one of the best days to go during FF.

Well, all the flats opened except for Chaos later on in the day.

Triple Play opened at the end of night.

AER was still closed.

What is the excuse now for SF to close VU for the rest of the year?????
I have also heard that it is not going to re-open this year.

I dunno. I went today and it wasn't open. That was a bummer, cause my cousin had never been on it and really wanted to go. I'm going tomorrow too, but it's a really slim chance that It will be open then.

YOu know, Six Flags should get the hint by now to start hiring to adults or people not in school to work during october to keep the park running smooth, a smooth park is a good park

You are now a certified genius. Six Flags doesn't just pick their employees out of a hat. You tell your parents to work at Six Flags and see what they say.

I think it's time they took down Deja Vu. It breaks down too many times. Bring back the SkyWhirl!

I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but on Thursday night Vu was missing the cable on it's second spike. I think Vekoma decided to try and fix Vu again, because we all know what happens when they try and do that.
