Which Demon is better?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby [jonrev] on October 2nd, 2005, 5:17 pm
Which Demon do you like more?

I do like our Demon, but the PGA Demon looks way cooler with the orange rails and 3D logo on the front car.

BTW: Why is it that our Demon lost alot of its theming and Paramount's didn't lose much?

We lost a lot of our themeing because some people will whine and cry about anything.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

The Demon located at SFGAm is a much better ride, it has a steeper drop than Demon at PGA, which gives a huge punch of air-time.

I may be crazy, but in my opinion Demon's first drop gives one of the most intense small bits on any coaster. Backrow of Demon is certianly somewhat intimidating.

I dont remember the theming being that great on the demon in california. I rode it 2 years ago and besides having the old entrance and more trees, there isnt anything that special about it. The bigger tunnel isnt as good I dont think.

That was ours. I don't know if they have that in the Santa Clara Park.

I like our Demon more. I have never been on the one at PGA, but I have seen an on ride video of that one, and it looks very rough.

The PGA Demon did have the glowing eyes but I believe they were on longer.

The Demon at PGA has a different drop? I never noticed it.

Besides theming both Demon rides are identical. Same drop, same loops, same track. Marriots ordered both rides at the same time. They even changed the hills to loops at the same time. Ride may feel different to how each park has taken care of them since but excact same layout.

Either Six Flags or Paramount changed the drop. Because Six Flag's is steeper than Paramount's. Yes Marriott did have them the same, but one was changed after the parks were bought.

The new theming at SFGAm for Demon will make the ride a much better experience, now I just hope they keep it for 2006.

I agree with coasterdude12-2, demon always felt too me like it had an insanely steep drop. I always seem to get more air than on Raging Bull. That could be just me, but i think the airtime is incredible.

I think one factor in it is the OTSR's. While they keep your shoulders in, the really don't do much for your lower body, which I guess means you can't be stapled in.

The park should really look into upgrading the second tunnel to LED lights, so much more can be done in there.

What did they do to it? Is the sign back? Is the music back? Blood Pools?

I know what the theming is like because I do, there is no reason for me to explain, I just wont say it on here because it is supposed to be a surprise, but I know you will like the improvements a lot. Old and new stuff.
