No the layouts are different and they are different type rides.

Logger Run is a standard Log Flume with a large splash at the bottom of the chute.

Yankee Clipper (I will never call it by its current name) is a HYDRO FLUME. If you look closely at the boats, they are different on the front. The Loggers boats have a large concave-like area that pushes the water up in front of the boat, which then splashes into it. The Clipper boats are a little closer to the shape of a boat hull (like a "V")

Also, the bottom of the Clipper chute has ramps, that keep the boat from making a large splash at the bottom, as Loggers does not. Consequently, you get less wet on Clipper.

Logger's Run is more of your classic log flume, and it will get you reeeaally wet! :D On Ice Mountain, they brag about a 65 foot drop, but you get much, much wetter on Logger's Run! 8)

Logger's Run also has the double down drop....the little hump in the middle.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!

Clipper also has a small dip at the bottom that I believe makes the boat jump a few inches.

Loggers Run takes your picture, Yankee Clipper does not.

Loggers Run is in Yukon Territory, uses "logs" to float in, and has a hump in the final drop. Ice Mountain Splash is in Yankee Harbor, uses boats to float in, and has a straight drop. Both have different layouts.

IMS stinks in my opinion go with loggers run.

You get a lot wetter
They take your pic
There's a double drop

Logger's Run is open on a daily basis where as IMS is a crapshoot of when it opens.

Seriously though, IMS could easily be removed and not many people would miss it. A park really doesn't need 2 flume rides but it was a neat concept when Marriott built them.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I love Clippers a lot more than Logger's, Clippers has a better layout and is more fun to ride cause of standing water on the boat.

^ I agree, i think Logger's Run is more bumpy and i don't like that hump in the middle of the drop. It is not as thrilling.

it's fun to splash people in the face on Clippers...especially when they aren't paying attention. Water fights....priceless. It reminds me of this one time, we went on Clippers right after we went to The Crazy Buffalo Saloon, and two of us had the plastic cups you get to keep. so we were scooping up water and tossing it on our friends....fun fun.
