Did I miss the best rides?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I was at Six Flags Great America in August. I loved it but I was too scared to go on Superman. I chickened out as soon as I got to the front of the line. I am a classic coaster kind of girl, I need to feel secure. So I skipped that one and Deja Vu. Deja Vu looked way too freaky! Is it actually? There really isn't much too it but the idea of going backwards! And I missed V2 because it was closed but I am not sure I would have done it. Am I crazy?

Yeah, you're crazy for not trying Deja Vu. Going backwards is nothing though. I recommend sitting in 8b. Just try it. You'll like the beginning of the ride. 8)

As for Superman, it really isn't freaky. Some people like it, some don't. I myself do not. To me S:UF isn't even worth a 15-minute wait. But, you should at least ride it once and form you're own opinion on it.

Welcome to the forums.

You missed two of my top three by skipping Deja Vu and by V2 being broken. However, Raging Bull is second best and viper is great also. All and all, you did not miss out too much, Superman is not all that great.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

u definatley missed out on Vu. Its one of my favorites (and i think a lot of other people here's favorite as well). Next time you go you should atleast TRY it. You cannot say you dont like something until you actually try it.

As terrifing as it may look to you, at lease give it a shot.....it's won't kill you. As they say, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, if they still scare you after your first ride, then maybe it's not for you. But 9 times out of ten, once you get past your fear and go, you realize there's nothing to it, and they become your favorite rides.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!

S:UF isn't all that great, and it's NOT scary at all, actually kinda slow. But at least try it next time. Vu is awesome, though I haven't rode it for a while... it seems to ALWAYS be closed! It sucks that V2 was closed, that's one of the best rides there. Next time, give all of these a shot!
If you don't like Raging Bull, forget ALL abou SFGAm!!!
