Six Flags has updated there web site with all the show and attraction listed and where they are going to be located this year.

There are a couple of changes like the Dead Elvis will now be on the Mardi Gras Stage and Manny B. will be on the Hometown Square Stage. (Train Station) Fallen giant will be in Carousel Plaza.

Check the rest out here: http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatamer ... index.html

Also the Jugglers are in the Saloon: That's a first. They've never been in there. I think it would have been smart to have Manny in the saloon and the jugglers in Hometown.

No, they are not. Mardi Gras and Orleans place are two completly different sections.

What are you talking about? In my point of view, the 'Mardi Gras' section is still a part of Orleans place even with the different music. That's because Mardi was rooted in New Orleans and the French Quarter.

To answers Binks' question about Morgan from "Survivor: Guatemala," her bio. on the website states she did work as a singer/dancer during Fright Fest and one of the magician's assistant during the recent "World of Magic" show. It talks about her working at SFGAm during her school/college years, but she has since graduated.

How do you have your own point of view on this? That's like saying "my point of view is that Southwest Territory is part of Hometown Square so it must be true." Mardi Gras and Orleans Place are two completely separate sections. If they were the same, wouldn't you still see the Orleans Place sign above the Mardi Gras/Yankee bridge? Six Flags advertised it as a "new section" in the spring of 2004. It's a separate section. There's no everyone's right answer on this one.

OK, so that section is formerly known a part of Orleans Place until they changed it.

And I thought Hometown Square, County Fair, and Orleans Place were close together. Maybe because of the Marriott touch.

to Qoute Six Flags Great America's Park Update for 2003 it says "Plans to update, expand and renew the existing Orleans Place section of the park will convert the area into a non-stop Mardi Gras party. The newly themed Mardi Gras section ..."

that says right then and there that Mardi Gras is an expansion of Orleans Place. Meaning that Mardi Gras Section is located inside of New Orleans Place. It does not say that it is a new territory, it is basically the party section of New Orleans Place.

And to get back to the subject I was talking about before, Blood River is located in the Mardi Gras section which is related to New Orleans I think that is why they are not theming that ride this year for frieght fest.

Also has any one noticed that there are not very many changes within the park for FF yet? and its only 3 weeks away!!!

Six Flags America never got rid of Brutal Planet which is a booster. The bad part of it is that its extremely crowded back there. Most people don't know you have to pay $5 till they get pass Two-Face: The Flip Side.

SFMW still has Brutal Planet too, any others.....

Actually I found out that is true. and she will in fact be returning for Love at First Fright this october.

BTW: about the Mardi-orleans arguement. This is stupid. No, Mardi Gras is not part of orleans place. that's like saying Christmas is part of Illinois. Or Nebraska and Kansas are one in the same because they are next to each other. They are different sections and that can't be disputed. i don't understand how you can even think that way. They are differet sections and are treated as such.

I'm curious about the Rodeo Clowns, because that seems a bit redundant.

Your all a bunch of damn fools. Think outside the park... Orleans place represents new orleans, and Mardi gras is a land that is themed around a holiday/festival that takes place in the french quarter of NEW ORLEANS. SAYING THAT BLOOD RIVER ISNT IN NEW ORLEANS ONLY MAKES YOU SOUND LIKE A DICK ON THESE MESSAGE BOARDS. Sorry for typing in all caps and swearing, but I dont give a shit. Thousands of people died, and at one point 80 percent of new orleans (including the french quarter where mardi gras is) were under water. Take your eyes off the god damn park map, and try to understand that mardi gras is a festival that is in new orleans, even though people all over the country try to celebrate it. Camparing this situation with "its like saying swt is part of hometown square" is just ignorant because those themes are completely unrelated. If you cant make the connection and realize that an attraction called BLOOD RIVER in a land that is related to new orleans in every way, shape, and form, is a problem, you have problems. It may not be in orleans place, but you and blinks drake or whatever the * his name is dont have to be dicks about it.

Woohoo for frightfest! this post wont last long!!!
