New Ideas For Six Flags (Not Changes to rides/theme)

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SFaddiction84 on September 17th, 2005, 6:38 pm
I thought since a topic was started about Changes @ six flags. I would start one about New Idea's. New things six flags could do to make the park better.....This is not to post changes to Rides/Theme and stuff, this is for stuff like new policy's or new statagys to make money and stuff like that

PLEASE PLEASE dont trash me, yell or degrat me, these are just ideas and there is no need to respond negetive because there just ideas i thought up....

1. Hurricane Harbor Express Lanes:

Flash your Pass at Aruba Tube Rental between 11am-12pm on ANY HH operating Day and recieve a wrist band entitleing you to unlimited use to our new FAST LANE!!! These lanes are on all major water slides including Wahoo. Flash your wrist band and you will be admitted to a special Lane bringing you close to the top or right to the top giving you immediate boarding.

2. Refillable Fast lane has arrived. Fast lane is now a Refillable Wrist band

Six Flags Now uses REfillable Wrist bands with a bar code. Buy the wrist band for 30 dollars, gets you 6 fast lane uses. If you need more? visit Fast Lane Processing and say FILL ME UP. they will scan your wrist band and ask you "how many more fast lane uses do you want" ONLY pay for what you want!!!

3. Deja Vu Fastlane, I mean come on....when have i ever seen it used...HRM never any time ive been there.

4. Keep Season Pass Line open all day. Keep Re-entry lines SEPERATE and open at all times

--Is there anything you guys can think up?-- Ideas you think would work or that six flags should implement?

I think i'll take the liberty of being the first to throw out some more ideas.

-i think they should change our fastlane system to the way Disney World has it. It is handled so nicely, it's free, and it never seems to take away from the regular line.

-i think that once Majestic Springs opens, those guests should have unlimited fastlane use as a perk, that's what put Universal above disney for me.

-finally, and i don't know if you would count this as a ride or not, but Cedar Point's laser night show would be such a wonderful nightly event. It really blew me away.

Magestic Springs is the new hotel they are building in gurnee. It will have an indoor waterpark and sounds similar to Great Wolf Lodge. They said that they will be working with six flags rather than competing with them.

^Although it has been 4 years since i have been there, from what i remembered you really missed out. They had laser stunts being performed on the large screen while music played. The people in the crowd were dancing and there were fireworks blown off Wilcat and Iron Dragon. There was also pyrotechnics and POVs of the first drops on all of their coasters on the big screen throughout the show. Best thing in the park, in my opinion.

Fast lane on Deja Vu would be terrible. Would be great for fast pass holders, but the standby line is miserable enough as it is, Fastlane would effectively reduce the rides capacity even more(at it relates to the standby line), which is why they never did Fast Lane on DV.

Though a free fast lane system for the rest of the rides would be nice, again it really effects standby capacity, but at least everybody would have the chance to use it, but I suppose SF needs every last $ they can get from people.

I think really their best bet is to continue on the course they have started, and upgrade the park infrastructure(buildings, utilities and other stuff you dont really see) and refurbish the bathrooms (though the one in hometown that was supposed to be redone seems to have never materialized), and balance that with moderate CapEx every now and then.

Though if you want specific CapEx ideas, I'd go with modernize the parks flats (add a few new Euro spectaculars, or say a Huss Giant or 2, not used and or embarassingly outdated rides, which was basically all of Mardi Gras/Revolution), and of course keep up to date with coasters as well, prefably ones that work reliably, even at the expense of the ride expierience toa point (B&M's basically).

Also need to keep expanding the waterpark, it's obviously a huge draw now, park is probably kicking itself for not building a waterpark 10 years ago.

Also an option is take in some orphaned flats from Astroworld and possibly SFNO depending on that parks' future.

Misters are no good. Sitting in line with a bunch of water spraying on you? Not everyone wants that. Misters are nice, but not when you gotta stand under them for 1 hour.

They should also make sure that every line has a covering of some kind over it (cough, Ragin' Cajun).

My ideas:
1. Bring Q-bot here
2. Cut down on line jumping
3. Add single rider lines to rides like:S:UF, RB, and Deja vu
4. Get rid of those people who have to take the pictures of you with your group

^How can you cut down on line jumping? The best they could do is enforce punishment when caught.

I searched it and it looks like the combination of bread sticks and mozzarella sticks, according to Market Day
I'd rather be riding the Voyage
