BREAKING NEWS: "Unconstitutional to recite Pledge"

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.
Postby Galvan on September 14th, 2005, 1:35 pm
AP: Federal judge in San Francisco declares it unconstitutional to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools.

Your kidding me right?

"Oh no!!! they said the "g" word NO, not that" anything but that!"

Get a grip, in public schools; Teachers have to worry about getting, shot, stabbed, killed, robbed and cursed at. Saying the word God just because it "offends" certain people.

I say, you offend me because you dont like the word god.

My rights have been violated!!

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.

Go to any public school in the country, and i can gaurantee you that during the course of a day, a student hears words that are worse then the word "God."

Dont give me the arguement about "Well, the Republicans are forcing relgion upon us. Thats a joke, the Pledge has been around for years, and only now since these whack job Liberals i.e. ACLU have been around, we should change.

NO! You change your sick ways and your disgusting outlook on how my country should be run.

Exactly!! Republicans are not forcing religion on people. I think that
liberals forget that this country was founded upon God and Religion.

Saying "One Nation Under God" is NOT unconstitutional! The Federal
Gov't. already declared that it wasn't unconstitutional. Overall, schools
can't make kids say the Pledge of Alligence anyways.

You're right! Teachers need to stop being concerned with who
is offended by the Pledge of Alligence and be more concerned with
the education of the students.

Oh, lets look at this. The founders of our country left England, because
they were being persecuted because of their Religion. Guess what
is happening now? The Liberals are doing what England did to our
founders. Now everything having to do with Religion is being censored
and taken out.

I guess you liberals will now say that "In God We Trust" is unconstitutional
next!!! Geez.

I'm with Galvan, I'm offended also by this move!

Allah or Shiva so your argument isn't valid!

Founded under god? Its no longer a God centered governmnet though. Things change - time ot change the pledge. My argument is valid because conservatives hate everyone exept christians.

And Mike, you WILL stop saying that. I take offense to it. If you don't I will edit it out of your posts.

You've complain about enough Sh9999 in the past, and now I'm doing the same to you. Understood?

Who the hell do you think you are telling me what to do?

You have no right to tell me what i can and cannot say.

I think that you saying your anti-conservative rethoric is offensive to me, do you see me whinning about it? No.

I think the sad thing here is your threatening to Censor ones opinion just because it differs from your own.

Poor Baby

What amazes me is how Liberals throw the "Speration of Church and State" at Conservatives.

Yet, you saying "Freedom of Speech" will most certainly make them pissed off.

Sorry Libs, the Constitution works on both sides of the aisle.

Mike, you have complain and cried to Dave about stuff on this site all the time.

Free speech doesn't exist here (on the forums). I can remember many times when you got pissed off at what other members have said.

Now you will stop saying that.

I am sure that if there was a way to take that phrase of of currency, they would.

This is really getting sad. Can't say the POA becuase it says "one nation under God." Can't display nativity scenes, and christmas trees for Cristmas because some people don't beleive in it. Can't have the ten commandments displayed in court houses.
Its the one parent in school, who probably hates America, who's kids have to sit there, and God forbid (ooops shouldn't say the G word) recite the POA for 20 seconds. The POA is not about God, its about the United States of America. You know, the country that gives you the freedom to say what you want. The people who push for these stupid laws are in the minority. They are people who are miserable, and since they are miserable, they have to make sure everbody else in miserable too. They don't like it, and maybe three others who don't think its right to say the pledge, or put up a nativity scene, think the hell with everybody else, its what we think. The fundemental's that this country is based on, is being stepped on like a piece of trash. If you don't want your kids saying the POA, once again, a pledge about America, not God, well then too bad. If you don't want a nativity scene or Christmas tree displayed somewhere. Too bad.

No,

First of all because you TOLD me to stop.

Secondly, Alzhmers is a mental disorder, So if i start talking about that then youll get all pissed.

Third, I honestly beleive that, its one of my beliefs much like Some Liberals who think its "sick or perverse" that the words under god are in the Pledge.

Why are those arguements on those grounds good and okat for Liberals but not Conservatives?

Ill tell you why, because Most not all Liberals like you Jason, seem to think that there way is the only way, and screw everyone else. Sorry not going to happen here.

Mike...im sorry, republicans are FAR more hate filled and set in their way than Liberals. After all conservatives want to keep things the way they are (or were), they resist change - Traditional American Values. Liberals are for EQUALITY in America, hence the push for Gay Marrage, total women rights, minority rights. Republicans are a party of segrigation, who want nothing more than to pull this country into two pieces - Bible Belt and the Rest of the US.

Secondly, Removing 'Liberalism is a Mental Disorder' is not opressing Mike's freedom of speech. Freedom of Speech does not support hateful slander. Also, this is a privatly owned website. Dave controls what can and cannot be said. Freedom of speech does not exist here.

Not from what I have heard over the last 6 years. I have heard ALOT of nasty, name calling, simply scandalist things coming out of the mouths of Democrates about Bush, that if any Republican would have said any of those things, he would have had his nuts hung up.

Do we need to bring up that Bush hates poor, black people, and wanted them to die.
America voted for Bush twice. Its the American family values that this country still holds dear. Lib's don't understand this, so what do libs call the red states. Bible pushing conservatives. Yeah, thats a good way to try to push people to vote for your party. How about the south conceeding from the rest of the Bible pushing conservative nation.

Gay marriage unlike womens rights and minority rights challenges the foundation in witch america was founded on "One Nation Under God"
Gay marriage is discusting and sac religious, and i will not support a push to legilize it.
