If you could have the choice would you rather keep SUF or take Shockwave back?
I would keep SUF I love the pretzel loop.

"Why is nice bad? What kind of a sick society are we living in when nice is bad?"
Well since the last time I rode that ride I ended up hurting my neck(even though I had my head back, when we went throught the 2nd loop my head ended up bent all the way forward)I am not sad to see it go. Plus I got fired for a bs reason working that ride. Good riddance. Although, most of the rides I worked are no longer there, it's almost as if I never existed there, since hardly anything I worked is there anymore.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!
I love shockwave. It wasnt worth superman. Shockwave had so much mroe to offer than superman can ever offer. That drop was amazing. Shockwave is my favorite coaster. It had only one bad bumpy place in it and that was when you turned into the break section. Other than that it was a world class coaster.
It broke records when it first opened, and set the standard for many coasters we see today. With out the inovation of shockwave many coasters we see today would not exist.
^You're right about SW being a part of history but I remeber it being bumpy at the second and third loops too.
I loved the boomerang section.
But I love SUF's Pretzel even more.

^SUF more forceful than Shock Wave, are you sure you're talking about the same SUF ? All SUF has going for it force-wise is the pretzel. After that, there are no forces. Shock Wave, on the other hand, was non-stop positive-g's all the way from the bottom of the first drop until the midcourse. And if you rode in Row 7-2, it was even smooth.
I'd have to say I like them both the same. If shockwave wasn't as bumpy in certain locations then I'd like it more. I always loved the sound of the chain when the ride was climbing the lift hill. I miss that a lot.
I remember one year my family and I went to SFGAM and on our way out, we passed by shockwave. I saw the loops and I was like...I want to ride that next year! But the next time I came...no more shockwave...

Didn't you used to ask me when I worked it, if you could jump off after the first 3 loops? You told me that the first half rocked, but the second half was too slow.

I would actually go against all of you and take SUF. I prefer SUF cause it is an unique experience and offers a great ride. I began to like it like I do now after riding it those 55 times in 1 day, I think it is a good ride and deserves more than the bashing it constantly gets.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Same here. Even though the first drop may not be as great, the inversions beat Shockwave by far even though there are only 2 and Shockwave had 7. And the harness was just terrible...
Here's the real debate. Which would you have rather lost to get SUF, Shockwave or Whizzer?
