AE and Astroworld

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Que22 on September 12th, 2005, 9:40 pm
Since the closing of Astroworl i think they should take AE out to add say Serial Thriller or something else considering that ae is beginning to look like crap. I know I know AE doesnt take a lot of space up well i dont agree with that. Its not like ya'll went out there and measured the damn thing so. Thats my opinion.

Doesn't take up alot of space? It takes up the most space of any coaster in the park. You don't need a tape measure to figure that out. Just because you think it sucks doesn't automatically mean it should be removed.

Getting sick of whiney enthusiasses.

But Great America couldn't be Six Flags Great
America
without the American Eagle :)
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

yea i agree with que ae should be taken out for a much better coaster, first of all ae sucks and it is shakey and looks horrible, second of all it is on a big space, a much better coaster should be put there, it doesnt have to be a hyper twister but like que said something like serial killier.

AE is in good shape other than the paint...which is being worked on as we speak. Why would they take it down? It is a great ride and one of the most popular coasters at SFGAm. And no it is not rough at all in my opinion, it's decently smooth.

you may think it "sucks", but ask a member of the General Public about coasters at SFGAm and the two most popular replies you'll get are Batman and the American Eagle. And many people DO ride it, it's one of my favorite coasters out there and I ride it at least 3 or 4 times a visit. If you think it's rough, then go for a spin on Mean Streak or Son of Beast.

In all reality AE is one of the LAST coasters SFGAm would take out, at least in my opinion.

American Eagle is the landmark of Great America. I'm so tired of these "I wanna get rid of AE" threads. Become a CEO of Six Flags. Then you can tear down and replace whatever coasters you want.

Yeah the only reason they would say that is because its big so they will always remember the name and it doesnt have loops so people can go on it and not get sick. Has nothing to do with how good the ride is.

What are you? The authority of when a coaster sucks or not and speaks for everyone else?

The coaster takes up more space than any other coaster in the park.

Gentlemen, Gentlemen please...

Que22,

How are you doing man?

Listen, i know your new here and all, and your still wet behind the ears, but seriously Tear down American Eagle?

What plant are you smoking? What powder are you snorting in your nose?

And more importantly? What in hell are you talking about?

You seriously think that Six Flags is going to ship the same ride that it already has in the park more then 1,000 miles away?

Are you that stupid? or are you just pretending to be that stupid?

Also if you've ever been on ST you'll know that BTR blows it away any day of the week?

So let me ask you this once more? What in the hell are you smoking dude?
