Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve. -President George W. Bush September 11th, 2001
BURN IN HELL YOU SCUM
September 11th 2005,
Friends,
Today is the 4 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on NYC, DC and the crash of hijacked United Airlines flight 93.
I urge all of you to reflect on the terrible day of terror on Tuesday, September 11th brought to the shores of the US, and remind yourself of the sacrifice that our troops stationed over seas have made fighting the War on Terror and Liberating the Oppresed People of Iraq.
Today, regaurdless of what religious beliefs you may hold, pause for a moment of silence for those who died in The WTC, Pentagon and a PA Forrest.
God Bless America

Wow I can't believe it has been 4 years, it feels like just yesterday. I still remember everything I did on that day and probably always will as it is stuck in my mind.
I still remember it like it was yesterday. My mother-in-law (god bless her, she doesn't understand English well, she's Filipino) called and told us that the Sears tower collapsed, I went to find out if it was true and turned on CNN...to find out it was the WTC/Pentagon and it was hit by airplanes......it didn't turn off for days. The images that I saw over and over will be burned into my brain forever. I can't imagine what kind of hell those people were suffering that made them make the choice to jump out of a 100 story window. God bless the families of the victims tomorrow as they reflect, remember and mourn.

I'm crying as I'm watching the news. It is a sad day to remember.
God Bless The United States of America!!!
"There should be a B.O. squad that patrols the city like a "Smell Gestapo". To sniff 'em out, strip 'em down, and wash them with a big, soapy brush..."
"Why is nice bad? What kind of a sick society are we living in when nice is bad?"

When I was at school I was told that the Sears Tower was bombed.
I was at Taft (5th grade field trip. staying two nights in the wilderness. It was fun, til we got home) We stayed there Sept 10, 11, and 12. We should have guessed that something happened because all the teachers were kinda gloomy and sad, but we were having to much fun and no one told us because they wanted our parents to tell us.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

Which is completely sad. I've seen ground zero many times and am on the NYPD recruiting list. This is something I know I will never forget and someday hope to be out there to help the best police department in the world.
^It is sad that no one talks about it anymore. It seems like we have been desensitized (sp?). In a way, it's sad that we don't, because it's like we are forgetting about the innocent people that died, and aren't on the lookout as much anymore as the GP. Although, it's good in some ways because it doesn't do us any good to dwell in the past, and we aren't as a society, racistly throwing rocks into Islamic meeting halls and randomly stalking and hurting innocent Arabs. We have begun to remember that you can't judge a whole race of people based on the actions of a few buttheaded radical Muslims.

Yeah, I totally know what you mean. I remember actually witnessing the 2nd tower getting hit live on TV when it happened before I went to school, which was just horrifying... I remember when I had to go to Chicago to go out and eat with my family since it was my brother's birthday. I kept staring at the buildings, thinking of the WTC.
Well I don't see the need to get all depressed over it. It's no suprise that it's not talked about anymore. It's not that we forget...it's just that people don't want to bring up hard feelings. And from a news standpoint...it's old news, which is another reason people don't talk about it nearly as much.

i know
i remember being picked up from school cause my mom thought they were going to bomb my school! lol. out of all the places in the us!
Whats even more sad, is that I bet less than 10 people on this forum could tell you off the top of thier heads the dates of the Oklahoma City bombings, and the Battle of Pearl Harbor. Those are two other huge days, that we as Americans, should never forget. Give it 10 years, and people will start to forget about 9/11.

Oklahoma City: April 19, 1995
Pearl Harbor December 7th, 1941
First World Trade Center Bombing Feb. 26, 1993
USS Cole Attack October 12, 2000
US Embassy Attacks August 7, 1998
Want me to on?
September 11th will never be forgotten. As has The attack on Pearl Harbor and OKC.
