Just thought I would put in a plug for the work these guys do. Yeah, they're kind of old and they don't always play music that may appeal to the younger kids, but they can crank out some good tunes on occasion. Manny is a killer guitar player also and been recognized for that by several music publications.
Yesterday (Monday) since crowds were pretty light and I did lots or rides early in the day I decided to listen to a couple of their sets. I doubt you'll find another 50+ year old guy that can crank out Rocky Mountain Way (by Joe Walsh) the way they do. (Other than Joe Walsh himself of course.)
This year they're going to be playing Fright Fest from the train station "stage" in Hometown rather than on the Mardi Gras stage.
They're off to Reno for a month now but will be back for the opening weekend of fright Fest.
This is actually their fourth season at SFGAm. Before last season they were on the Farmers Market Stage and then last year they moved to the Mardi Gras stage next to the Bayou Grill.
By the way, whoever mentioned blasting riders on Roaring Rapids...That's the cheapest entertainment in the park!
