Nah, I'd rather keep IW a standup and get a really cool floorless coaster.

"Why is nice bad? What kind of a sick society are we living in when nice is bad?"
hrm, i dont see why it wouldnt be possible. unless we know more then the people who created the ride know....but hrm... i think it would be cool if it was converted to a sit down
Well it is all to do with G forces, you take G-forces differently standing up than you do sitting down. The forces may be safe standing up but deadly sitting down. Different body positions mean different places on your body in wich force is placed upon it.
I don't know which idea is more stupid and impractical, Iron Wolf sit down trains or a parking garage Seriously, it is ok to discuss stuff that might actually happen, but all these wild and crazy pipe dreams really annoy me
Making Iron Wolf a sitdown would send it the way of Shockwave. People would lose interist (why not just go ride Batman) and Six Flags would eventually remove it.
Also, I don't know if Iron Wolf would ever be able to be transformed into a sit down. Espically with the corkscrew (B&M calls it a Flatline?) an G-forces. The corkscrews on rollercoasters are designed to revolve around a certain point in space or on the body to use GForces properly. Even the mispostion of a human on the ride could change the biological effects on the person. (I'm not saying this WOULD happen on Iron Wolf, but it's something to consider)
And what would making Iron Wolf sitdown accomplish? Where would we build a standup? Why not install a newer rollercoaster. Standup's don't draw crowds because it's not unique.
I also find little sense or reason to turn IW into a sitdown, while i do find some merit in building a parking garage to free up space for the park(though i hate them).
I dont know if it is possible to convert IW into a sitdown, but i did see a video of a coaster in Japan where they had a Tojo coaster which operated with one train as a standup and the other train as a sitdwon and you could choose which ytain you wanted to ride in.

People saying all these rides are rough are one of two things: Sissy's or havent been on REALLY rough coasters.
Well, IW is rough in spots, sometimes. Compared to the other standups I've been on, this is the roughest out of all of them. I define roughness by how much my head bangs and such while on the ride.
Other than that, IW as a Floorless or Sitdown? Naaa. Keep it as a Stand-up Coaster.[/quote]

^ No need to triple post. But I agree, that turn after the corkscrew really bangs my head, but that's the only spot. I love the first 2/3 of Iron Wolf.
IW is violent in spots by design, but it is not inherantly rough, the issue is the current trains. However it would not be possible to stick sit down trains on IW, as it was designed around the riders heartline, sitting down would lower riders' heart line by quite alot really messing things up. Making extremely raised seats to counteract that would work but would be hugely impratical.

I'm with the majority, leave IW the way it is and build a new floorless.
As for roughness, it really depends on the train. My last trip there I could really tell the difference between both trains they had running. It was day & night.
My Favorite SFGAm Coasters:
Raging Bull, Viper, Batman: The Ride, Iron Wolf
Iron Wolf is a rather smooth coaster, go and ride some bad ones, then you'll appreciate the way Iron Wolf is. I also think it would the 3rd stupidest thing SFGAm could have ever done to convert it to a sit down. The two other stupid things: taking out the light house for V2, and removing Power Dive for no reason.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Iron Wolf would suck as a sit-down. It wouldn't be nearly as fun... I like stand ups. The only other stand up I've been on was Mantis, and it's smoother than IW. But IW is not bad at all, sometimes it can be but I've ridden worse. And yes, one train is worse than the other. I think on opening day when I was riding the bad train, we all heard a loud crack noise coming from the train.
Mantis also has B&M trains. It's not impossible to turn it into a floorless or somthing else, but it would be expensive. It will never happen. Maybe B&M trains, but even that is unlikely.
