Hey Aero maybe if you find that OCM is the right thing for you you might get uber popular or something and become as rich a John Malan (local weather man). That guy owns a car dealership and Fun World (Chuck-e-Cheese with a Ferris Wheel, Lazer Tag, and Mini Golf)

Jerry Taft lives in Lemont and that is the town right next to me so I pass his freaking mansion almost everyday. It's not actually a mansion but his house is huge. Aero you should be pretty set after you finish school!
where the hell did everyone go? its been dead in here for like 30 mins. Aero is at class and seems everyone else is sleeping at the computer. I can't wait to go to bed tonight...I am so frickin tired. Not to mention I have to get rested up for my day at SF tomorrow
Wow. I've had around 500 posts in the last 1-2 weeks . Worse yet, only around 100 of them have benn in the regular forums. Shows you how addicte to the OTF I am
I believe Tom Skilling is probably the Highest Paid meteorologist in the country.
1. He does news for WGN, which is a Superstation across the US.
2. He is INCREADIBLY knowedgable
3. People like him, he acually explains the weather in ways that people understand. He also does tons of outreach to the community.
And I higly doubt I'll be rich and famous after college. OCMing is not what I want to do. With the exception of a few (Tom Skilling being one of them) they don't do their own work (Think weather channel). They have interns or forecasters doing the work for them. All they do is read the teleprompter.
I love the weather, I want to know what makes it work. Just reading off a teleprompter would never satisfy me.
Now being a severe weather expert (like Dr. Greg Forbes on the Weather Channel) that would be fun. They only go on once or twice an hour. They really know a lot about severe weather. And they are some of the most trusted people on the station.
Dr. Greg Forbes even studied under the late Dr. Theadore Fujita (possible one of the all time great meteorologists and tornado researcher-Invented the F scale).
Ahh tonight. It feels good to be done with stuff for the weekend. I forgot to do my Calculus homework though.
I used to dye my hair black and then put dark red and purple highlight in but it was waaaay too much work. It took forever and faded too fast. Right after doing it looked really cool.
ummmm...actually...u could come over if u wanted...help me pick out a good color. I <3 red...but I would have to do chunks because of my hairstyle. I would love ot do red and blonde chunks.
