Hi, im new at this forum and i was just wondering how packed six flags is on closing day. I know it's in September and there are fewer crowds but its the last day. Anyone been there on a closing day:?:

First of all, closing day is the end of October, not the end of September.

The ending of the regular season before Fright fest can be crowded, because a bunch of people's tickets expire on September 18th.

Now closing day (like the last day it's open all year) is usually not too crowded. Back when they closed the park the first weekend of November it was dead. Last year was moderate but nothing bad by all means. It's fun.

They have at least the past couple of years that I know of. They rent out the picnic grove and they seem to have a large turnout.

Avoid that day.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I prefer Opening Day. This year's Opening Day on April 30th was awesome. So empty, I walked on practically every coaster, even walked onto front row and back row seats.

The best part was walking onto the back row of Deja Vu when I had never been on it before. And that it worked all day!

I've already heard about th 18th being bad, so I'm planning on going the 17th instead. Hopefully closing day won't be too bad. I'm gunna try to go two days of closing weekend (one day is sunday, the other is undecided). I'll probably have the other day be a friday unless saturday is going to rain.
