Staffing this time of year

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

What does the staffing situation looking like this week at Great America?
I plan on going next Tuesday with my girlfriend and the best way to keep her content on our trips is when shops are open and the shows are running.
Are they doing any off days on the shows since its so late in the year?

School's back and from what I hear, staffing is tight. Look for it to be like May weekdays, but not quite as bad.

I also think Coasterdude has all the dates of the shows on his webpage somewhere.

Yeah, staffing was already kind of bad last Thursday, mainly at HH from what I noticed. I'm going on Monday and I hope that Deja Vu is at least open but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

In the waterpark, not every slide will be open. For example, they will only have one family raft slide open but not the other, etc.

Staffing was great in the park on Tuesday. Three train op on RB, two train op on everything else.

Not bad, weekdays in May can have 15-20 rides closed due to staffing issues. I think Saturday will be well staffed.

All rides were open on Tuesday besides V2 (given) and IMS. I was surprised.

There's no way to tell for sure. I'm guessing it will be well staffed, but busy. I'm thinking of going friday after school, but I'll have to see.

I know they are having some staffing problems. There are signs for Job fairs all over the park. Many people a leaving, and the Internationals are slowly trickling out also.

Just got back from the park, 8/25, and the staffing was really good, all coasters were open on time (even Vu), ERC was the only flat closed, both fluems closed (Logger's Run was open, but closed cause no one went on it).

Hurricane Harbor, different story, half of the lazy river was open, MUST get off at the first exit, half circuit. Two slides on Skull Island, 75% of it was closed. Four Wahoo Racer slides, all 4 atomic slides, and 1 family slide (green and blue one) was open. Hurricane Mountain had two running, green and yellow, then it switched to blue and teal.

I went yesterday, and a lot of games and some shops were closed. Staffing seemed pretty low. Quite a few flat rides were closed also.

There don't seem to be many rides problems just the ususal being closed. (IE: IMS, HTFM, Stargate, etc...). But other departments look to be having problems.

Yesterday (Sunday 8/28), Bull ran 2 trains most of the day. Eagle backwards didn't open until 6:30, Scenic Railroad was round trip only.

Rides Closed:
Ice Mountain Splash
Stargate SG-3000
Fiddler's Fling
Great America Raceway from 12-7
Splashwater was only open while raceway was closed

After today, can someone tell me if D Vu' is open? I know it's early though. It was closed all day yesterday due to staffing, probably.

^ Deja Vu is open. They are still understaffed though. I heard a lot of employees have started quiting due to the insane gas prices.

Today Bull ran 2 trains, Round trip only on the railroad, Fiddler closed, TrailBlazer closed, Stargate closed for part of the day, Splashwater Falls closed.

Is the Sceninc RR "round trip only" due to FF preperations or staffing issues?

I haven't been all year (all I keep reading is it is so busy), but plan to visit tomorrow..... looking forward to it!

^ Staffing. Both stations were open when the FF stuff was first put up so that cant be the reason.

Yesterday the park was staffed with people mostly from SFKK and SFStL that were bussed up from their parks, due to both of them being closed. Was funny seeing the Revolution ride op with a SFStL logo(it was some special thing, award of some sort) on their shirt.

Also I noticed SFStL lifeguards are really anal about alot of really small things (though really that's how it should be, in a waterpark Safety needs to be an absolute priority)
