Whats happened to the gulf coaster at sfgam and at paramounts great america? Were they scrapped?

Demon:1 Batman:1 Amrimcan Eagle Red:3 Viper:4 Whizzer:5 Iron Wolf:1/4 (I thought about going on it)
They were scrapped a year or two after operation. I've heard many problems were happening including fires.
I believe the Gulf Coaster was replaced by the Southern Cross skyride? (the useless sky ride that was meant to provide transport to the "Great Southwest" that never happened under Marriots)
Yes, the Gulf Coaster was located currently where Roaring Rapids is now. It had the same color scheme as Ragin Cajun does, except for the cars.
The Supports on it were yellow. I believe our Gulf Coaster had 3 fires in its first year.
