We got there at around 3 and headed for Superman.
Superman was about a 25min wait and the ride was awesome. *****
Then we headed for Condor and rode it twice.
Ride 1 ****
Ride 2 *****
Next we went into Mardi Gras and rode King Chaos *****. Had more spin than usual.
While my brother rode Roaring Rapids (I hate water rides, except SFHH of course), I had some fun and blew 2 dollars on the water blasters. LOL.
I then ran out of cash and rode Ragin Cajun wich was the best ride I've ever had on it. Lots of spinning!! *****!
Next we went over to Batman and the line was a TOTAL WALK-ON!! Me, my brother and his friend had a blast on Batman so we did it again.
Ride 1=*****
Ride 2=****.5 (Had some pain in my feet)
So while the kids ran over to Loggers Run, I got permission to take photos of what's going on at V2. The guy at the resturaunt said this about V2:
"One of the motors had burned out and we are waiting for the part to come back from Europe." I then asked when will it be back up & running, His Response: " Probably next week". The train was in it's station instead at the end of the launch today.
Next I walked over to meet the kids by Loggers Run and we had to go. The woman taking care of the kids then told me this sad news:
"I talked to the mechanic for Whizzer and he said that this season or next season will definetely be the last season for Whizzer. It will be scrapped, not put up for sale. The cause is because it costs too much money to run and that it's old technology. Its replacement will most likely be another family coaster."
I doubt it will happen though. We'll just have to wait and see.
So today was pretty good. Was only about 3 hours but was fun.
SFGAm August 19: ****.5.
(When we got home my Riverview Bobs shirt arrived from ebay. Yaay!)
BTW: Foods people have no Idea what's going on with V2, (Like the other seasonal employees) So unless he's best friends with all them mechanics, Don't beleive that.
and also that woman most probably has no Idea what she's talking about. Like they tell the maintenance people what's going to happen!
You know I don't know why the dippin dots stand are always persecuted, The people in those stands don't Just work at the dippin dots stands. The yukon Dippin Dots is the same unit as Granny's Kitchen and Claimjumers, The one in county fair is the same unit as Wascals. Etc...
Even those people have no idea what they're talking about. Maybe the ride ops do, but I try as hard as I can not to worry about SFGAM's money problems, new rides, problem, etc. If I do it bugs me too much.
^lol. I find it hard to believe that employees are that clueless about their own employer, whether they are full-time or seasonal help. Seriously, how do you work at an amusement park and not know about that giant roller coaster sitting right over there?
My Favorite SFGAm Coasters:
Raging Bull, Viper, Batman: The Ride, Iron Wolf
