Postby Coaster Alex0805 on August 15th, 2005, 11:19 am
So I went yesterday and my family is all out whenever we go to six flags and we dont leave the park till 11. So its like 9 40 and we go to RC no line really! And as we are sitting in are car I asked this worker when is v2 gonna open! And he said I didnt even know it was down! I WAS LIKE WHAT ITS BEEN DOWN FOR 3 WEEKS! And he said I havent been in this area of the park! And I also asked workers from Batman and there all clueless! My bet is that maybe Fright Fest
SF IS CLONING! AHHHHH!!!

Well, the employees don't really notice anything except in their areas. Like I can tell you when Revy, fiddler's fling, and Iron wolf are down, but those are the only ones I notice. The only reason I know about V2 is beacuse I still post here, so I've been making a point of finding out if it's still closed.

The forum has V2 as closed now. I remember in 2001 in september V2 broke down for the rest of the year.

Yeah I remember that too... it kinda sucked. It also happened sometime in 2003 as well. Seems to be having problems every other year...

Ok, so what we think we know is that its a bad LIM or magnet, but do we know that for sure? it could be more then the Lim or magnet it could be faulty wires between the magnets and something else, it could be MUCH more complicated that we all think. but we dont know for sure, i mean there are only 3 full weeks of operation left, then its just weekends. then there closed for 2 weeks until its WEEKEND operation for FRIGHT FEST.....My guess is if they can get it fixed they will, but for me, it wouldnt be worth rushing to fix it just to have it open on when the park is on weekends

P.S. 08/15/05 - V2 Still Closed, even more Lims/Magnets missing from the rear of the station since i saw it last wednesday....i wonder what the problom is? i think while its closed they should Make V2 taller, and convert it to a Wicked Twister

no, i doubt that, im just saying maybe whats wrong is more complicated then we think. i mean personally? its not fair for us to say THIS IS WHATS WRONG, and that it should only take this long, we are not the mechanics. we can just leave it up to them, and if so help us, it doesnt open this season. o well. let them fix it RIGHT, so that it can reopen and stay open all next season

I thought about how nice that would be, then I realized that no matter how little I care for V2, when it's running it helps thin out the other lines I'll be waiting in. Besides, there just isn't much room where it stands to put in anything else worth mentioning.

Would you rather have the dumb lighthouse or a rollercoaster?

Is it closed still?

^ me too. V2 is my favorite roller coaster in the world (Along with Déjà Vu and Top Thrill Dragster. I can't choose between the 3). I hope I go before school starts. I don't have much time left. I start the 23rd.

I saw V2 test once today around 1, I got there very late though so it might have tested before that too. It seems like they got all the crap out of the station and the LIMs back on because the train was back to it's normal spot. So hopefully it'll be back up soon.
