Fright Fest! In August?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Well yesterday I went to SFGAm for a little bit like around 5:30. Sort of a last minute thing. Anyways as we first entered the park we went towards the right of the path way, facing Sky Trek. Now its been my first time going to the park since July, and I have noticed Fright Fest decorations up. Did anybody else here? This is kind of strange because I dont really remember Six Flags doing this before, if they did I missed out on it. Now I was wodnering if they did this becuase to save time on the October. But it wasnt a lot, it seemed like if could have been done in a day, so I dont know why they set this up early. Maybe they put that up so people can have a sneak preview of the Fright Fest decorations, since we did get a lot of tourists due to HH. Well I think it was still kind of odd but I have no clue on why they did this, does anybody here know? Please, if you think on why they did this, say that your guessing. Dont say that your right because you saw it with your own eyes on why they did this. Because thats not confirmed information. Thoughts are good :D

Well the first ride we rode was Raging Bull and the line was half full for the "U"s ( I like to call it ) and went outside for just a little bit. I wanted to ride the front row but my friends and cousin didnt so we rode the back. It was my first time this season, can you believe it? The ride ops were really cool, I mean seeing them enjoy their job and laugh around with each other makes a good family and friend experience at SFGAm.

After that we went to go eat at the good ol' Waterin' Hole. Anybody ate there? Well I saw my good ol' friends and got some nice pep. pizza and large cheese fries. Didnt fill us up for five people so we got a large dippin dots, bananna split.

After that we rode Viper, me and my cousin got front row. The ride ops were again, very good. It was funny because the ride op was like, if you want to get off the ride on Viper, its to late because the train is already leaving and wont stop, and the other ride op on the end of the train stopped the train, mocking here spiel lol.

After that we rode Demon since we were with a little boy who didnt like big rides. I rode the back row with my cousin, fun stuff man, good at night. My first time noticing a demon face sculpture on the boulder leading into the two corkscrews.

On our way to Batman The Ride, I noticed that there was a new sign at Pizza Orleans, kind of cool, but then again my first time here in a month. We rode Batman the Ride on front row, since my friend didnt want to go on King Chaos. It was really fun, but the wait was longer since it broke down two trains later to cool off, the ride op. said. After that they only put one train on and the front row only had three seats working. Kind of sucks. Anywho, the biggest memory of all is that while me and my cousin were waiting in the exit while my friend rode the ride, we told the ride op. ( cool guy ) that it was my friends birthday. He yelled it over the intercom, hearing through the tunnel, and was singing happy birthday to her. I feel kind of bad since I lied to the guy and he was pretty cool to.

no not strange at all. its just an advertisement for Fright Fest. SFGAM does it every year , each year in a different spot. last year it was buy the train station in Home Town Square and the year before that the Ameri-go-round was decked out for Fright Fest in August.
