I NEVER SAID IT WOULD BE A DIVE COASTER!!!!!
I ONLY STATED IT WOULD BE THE 2ND OF ITS KIND IN THE US
THAT DOES NOT MEAN DIVE COASTER
THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!
BUT IM SORRY TO SAY THAT THE DEAL MAY BE FALLING THROUGH FOR THIS YEAR ANYWAYS
IT DID NOT LOOK GOOD AT THE LAST MEETING I ATTENDED
lol, hey buddy, I dont know if you got the memo but typing in caps doesnt do anything for you.
Also... as far as a possible coaster falling through at this stage.... it would have had to be set in stone months ago to have it ready.
This thread is lowering the collective IQ of every person living in the greater Chicagoland area.
Also coasters dont just fall though for the most part, major coasters, especially B&M's are part of multi year plans for parks, you dont push something like that back a year or 2 when it's not convienient.

EDIT
So yesterday I went to the park 8/13. And it was with the family so my half sister brings a friend with her and her friend has never been on coasters. So they all say lets go on Whizzer! And I said no way! Well so all 7 of them went on it and I sat out and waited by the exit. Which really suprised me when I herd people after they got off the ride they where saying they loved it and thease people are my age or older! my half brother was one of the 7 that went on and he can ride all the coasters and he went on front row of Whizzer and was so excited and said he hade a blast! But my step mom went on it and she said wow its time for that to go! Well whenever whizzer goes I hope they put a family coaster there. Six Flags Great America is a family park and if its gone Spaceleys isnt gonna cut it! I did notice some things while I was there nothing big the only thing I noticed was I went into that Lonney Toon thing and its HUGE! i thought it was just a jungle gym! I hope for a new coaster but I hopethey dont remove a family one for enthusits

Yeah, I think we ALL do. I've given up the hope of SF giving us something besides a tornado for 2006. While I always thought that'd be it, I still hoped. But no new coasters for 2006 and i've just heard that a Tornado Watch is in effect for Gurnee and could be a warning as early as September 1st.
omg please lock this topic already. I have never seen a topic go ten pages saying basically the same thing in different form over and over.
This topic is like the energizer bunny, just keeps going and going and going and going and going..and going..................................and going...............................
lock this stupied forum, it keeps going and then coming back, and it is just people saying the whizzer isnt going to be removed this season, and it isnt going to be removed this season, because no construction has started or anything, and they probably would have told us by now if we would get a new coaster, instead of this forum someone should start a "we arent getting a coaster next year" topic. As much as i would like a coaster next year (Floorless) i just have to face it that we arent going to get it.

I agree with Danhockey04, they've been painting the station these past few weeks. Whizzer isn't going anywhere. On the other hand, has anyone noticed that row 2 on Stargate is still broken? It's been broken since like May. I think that is next to go, to make room for the Tornado or other HH expansion.
I could see more than just tornado added to the waterpark, though for now Tornado is the only ride that's basically confirmed.
Just due to the waterparks overwhelming success, I think it's going to see the majority of the capital ex budget for some time. I think even the park underestimated it's success, as I remember they first time they tried for a waterpark (Entertainment Village), everyone brought up that it'd be in direct competition with not only WI Dells, but the established waterparks in the general vicinity.
I personally think the waterpark is going to be built up/expanded to the point where a second gate will be warranted. Once the waterpark is seperate admission, that's when both parks will see $$$ for capital, rather than either or as it is for most SF Amusement/Waterpark combos.
