Couple of questions?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Hi I was wondering if someone with a cast on arm almost to elbow will be restricted from any rides? Also wondering if you can use a fanny pack to keep a camera with you while you ride rides? Any tips/info I would appreciate! :roll:Thanks!

i dont know about the cast...i would guess it would be a judgment call on the part of the operator.as far as the fanny pack goes, i think that on most rides, as long as its a small pack (if you can conceal it under your shirt theres never a problem!) youre allowed to keep it on you, but they have been incredibly militant about superman...so perhaps im wrong.

A little over a year ago I broke my elbow and had a cast from shoulder to wrist. They still let me ride. You should be fine as long as it doesn't restrict the restraints from locking.

You can have the fanny pack with the camera inside on the rides. My friend does it every day.

Ive never seen a rider with a broken arm get rejected before, the only ride that may be a problem would be Superman. Everything else though I can't see a cast being a problem, just be careful you don't smack whoever your riding with in the face and everything should be all good :).The same goes for your fanny pack, you shouldn't have a problem with it for any coaster except Superman. I say give it a shot, if the ride op tells you that you can't get in line with it put it in a locker, in a car or with a non-rider. But don't leave it in the big pile of other peoples stuff, it will most likely end up getting stolen if you put it in there.

All the times I went on S:UF the ride ops told the people that they can put their sutff on the exit ramp and that they had to hold it while on the ride.

My mom and friend both had fanny packs on all day long when we went and no ride op on superman said anything...maybe they wern't looking close enough, but I am sure its all right as long as it is secured.

maybe they will become more leniant about the packs as the season goes on and hopefully they will just get some boxes up in the station!

I've never seen anyone refused a ride because of a cast.

The problem I see with a cast is that if you hit someone on accident, that would hurt the other person badly. Casts are hard. For a fanny pack, I don't see why they would complain about that.

Today I almost broke my foot again, luckily I just sprained my ankle and cut up my knee (if I broke my foot again, say buh bye to my season).

One word of advice, if you have broken bones be prepared for a lot of pain on the rides.

Man is today national "Bring back old topics day" or something and I missed the memo?

Well I don't think they would refuse you to ride if the cast isn't huge.

I've never visited the park with broken bones since a broken hand happened during the 2002 off season. :D

I've never had a problem with a fanny pack. One time in line for Superman the person who collects the boarding passes told me to turn the fanny pack around, so the harness would come down. But I do that each time anyway.
