Hey guys.... I'm not one to Rumor-ize, but there is a lot of talk of a Tornado for next year...... I've been to HH a few times already and have kinda spotted the areas of supposed "location" for this puppy.
Sadly, I'm still lost as to where its supposed to be.... Is there any way for someone to scan in the park map, or something.... and somehow draw in where they think or know it's going to be located? Is that possible?
You can try to explain it in text all day to me / us. But as we all know, "A Picture is worth 1,000 words"
Ok, in this pic: http://community.webshots.com/photo/102 ... 4673GYlUOH you can clearly see the rumored tornado splash down pool on the bottom of the pic and you can also see the footers in the far right side of the picture.
Go to the waterpark, look at the area in that picture that is showed, and make sure you look for footers that are ALREADY there and pipes that are covered off.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how that would look in that location. Have you ever seen a Tornado? That slide is HUGE. Seems like it would be to dominating in that location. Although, I guess it could work. You could call it The Hurricane and it could be hitting Hurricane Harbor or somthing.
That is a Tornado. That is the one at SFStL
Edit: Can anybody find a better pic of that?
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
Wow! SFGAmFan, that picture totally answered my question. How cool, so now that I think about it.... that area IS covered.... how cool!
Nice, well... this looks to be about as true as can be. And yes, just like RCTFan said... those Tornados look HUGE...., but judging from that picture, the area is pretty big. I hope the slide into the funnel is long, instead of, Get in your tube and drop into the funnel like SFStL, almost pointless... dontcha think?
Well, cool! I'm all types of excited... I'm just awaiting some really tall, vertical drop slides, like the SFMM HH slides. THEN the park is complete!

DEFINETLY! I'm not expecting somthing like Point of No Return@Noah's Ark, or Demon's Drop(Rode that summer before last when it was Family Land Waterpark, and that ride is awesome! The water on my back at the end didn't feel that great but it was still fun.)@Mt. Olympus but somthing close to it.
I feel a Tornado and a vertical drop slide is all our park is missing.

^ I can't Wait too! I think these rides what we have are just a preview of what the park is having now. I think in a couple of yrs or even next year, they may have some Vertical Drop Slides along with tornado. I think we are about to have some suprises Next Yr, who knows there may even be a new GAm ride coming our way.
From being one of the class geeks in 8th grade to one of the most noticable ones in High School. Thats what you call "Steppin Yo Game Up!"
I just watched a video of the slide in action and it looks pretty boring. All you do is come out of a turn, drop into the slide, go up a wall, come down then up another wall, come down and hit some moving water that slows you down, then drift in to the exit pool. Can anyone say boring? That is what you do on the bowls(Forgot the name.) on Hurricane Mountain.
Serouisly, we need some real toliet bowl body slides and 1 vertical drop body slide. I think the only reason a Tornado is a good idea is because it will greatly improve the look of HH and we will have our hurricane for HH.

Tornadoes are nothing special. It looks cool, but really isn't that great. I agree with the toilet bowl body slide idea like at Schlitterbahn. And a vertical drop slide should be a given at a park our size.
Come on now, anyone that knows how to read, heck even if you dont know how to read, as long as your not blind, its 1000% sure where the tornado is going... there is even a picture!!!
Based on the picture, does that show that they were going to build the tornado this year but didn't have time. That pic was taken during the construction of HH, and if that really is the exit pool then why did they build it unless they were planning to add the ride? why wait another year??
That is very unlike Six Flags. Besides it doesn't even make sense. I'll bet 80% of the people who visit HH haven't even noticed it. The only reason everyone here has is because were big fans of amusement parks and spend our spare time trying to find where the next ride is going to go. Six Flags knows that too...
Stupidest question ever. Why bring out a whole new construction crew to lay down footers... etc. Now all you need is a aerial crew w/ little to no excavation.
and also now they can use that to advertise HH next year.
