Best and Worst Looking Rides

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Ilovthevu' on August 7th, 2005, 10:42 pm
When I say this, please don't judge this on the ride itself but rather on how it looks. Also, I want to point out that sometimes rides just look better at night while some rides might look better during the day. Sometimes, it doesn't matter.

BEST Looking rides

1. D Vu' (day and night)
2. Superman Ultimate Flight (day only)
3. Revolution The Ride (This proves that this topic is based on looks alone.) (day only)
4. The Orbit (day only)
5. Condor (day and night)
6. Whirlgig (night only)
7. Triple Play (night only)

WORST Looking rides

1. Hometown Fun Machine (night and day).
2. Batman The Ride (night and day)
3. The Orbit (night only) The lighting on this ride looks really bad at night. The bulbs are different colors. Yes, I know that there are reds and blues, but the blue bulbs aren't all the same color.
4. Ricochet (night and day)
5. Logger's Run and Ice Mountain Splash (day and night)

Best looking rides...
-Deja Vu
-Raging Bull
-Revolution
-BTR
-SUF
-Triple Play

As for worst looking ride, I really don't know. I don't think any of the rides look bad.

Edit: Yes, AE definitely needs a paint job. Hopefully they finish it up by next year, because I've noticed they've done more on the rails.

Wow, I must be really turning away from rollercoasters, because I have no clue what 1/2 of the abbreviations mean.

I think The Orbit lighting is not bad I like it alot ( regarding to he first post ) and in the day time the looks arent as bad either. I think DeJa Vu has the best color while The Orbit and Condors have the best lighting.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.

The Orbit lighting is awesome, so is Triple Play's lighting. I think the Eagle looks great at night (minus the paint job that's needed). I like how the light shines on the wood, it sort of glows. :P

Raging Bull looks absolutely awesome at night.

I don't think any rides look that bad at night.

Night certainly has its perks at Six Flags; all the lights "lighten" up and glow the place.

I read somewhere, correct me if i'm wrong, that AE took 9,000 gallons of paint! (Sorry bout that typo)

Off topic: my cousin work a crane building DV, got some left over paint, and put on his demo car. it looked awesome!

They seriously need to paint it though. It looks terrible during the day. It's less appealing although it's an awesome ride.

Does anyone see Great America painting the Eagle?

they painted a section last off season, the lifthill and half the drop on the blue side. I think that's a fairly decent indicator that they plan to clean up or even paint the rest of the ride sometime in the near future (next few years), it really doesnt look that bad though right now. Anyone ever see rolling thunder at SFGAdv before it was repainted?
