New section of the park...

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SFGAM_NERD on August 2nd, 2005, 2:32 pm
Dont you think SFGAM needs a new section. Maybe get rid of a few rides to make a more themed area. Maybe "Gotham City" where you walk around and your in Gotham and have BTR and Mr. Freeze. Or maybe just a new area for some smaller gentle rides. What do you think?

That would be so friggin cool to have a Gothom city theme. I know a few parks have Superhero Sections.

A lot of the theming in the area already fits the city park type of feel. Now if only we could get rid of some poorly used space *wink*

I think it would be cool if they did a gothem city theme, they could paint V2 a light blue ish, and call it mr. freeze, and that chair spinning ride could be something of joker's. And they should update it so its all like batman beggins.

I agree! It would be cool to transform Yankee Harbor to something of that sort. Yankee Harbor really isn't even "harbor" material anymore.

Gotham Wouldn't fit the "Great America" theme, but Hurricane Harbor didn't either, so, I think it would be awesome to have a "Gotham City" myself.

I also thought about that.. Maybe a Chicago or New York theme? Now that would be stellar. The "Gotham City" part would be the bad part of town or whatever.

While that looks good in pictures, when you see it in real life...it's actually just a very small path that is themed like that. It's nothing like Southwest Territory where a huge area is themed.

I actually liked SFMM's Gotham City better, even though most the ride's in it weren't operating at the time. :?

Is that SFStL near Batman?? I didn't care much for that. It just looked like a waste of space. I like SFOG's Gotham City. I'm sure SFMM might have a good one, but I havn't been there.

They should take out V2(Vertical Velocity)and put Mr.Freeze, and for the little rides should put rides with the theme of gothem city.

I think they are trying to make it a harbor theme agian. They changed the name of a old fast food place into New England Grill or sum thing like that. Also there is fish in the water by the bridge between Yukon and Yankee Harbor.

But then why name the park Great America.

There is a reason there are no movie themed areas. It's Great America. Supposed to be great areas of America throughout history. And even as bad as Six Flags themeing department has been regarding new additions (Sans Hurricane Harbor), I think they will still try and follow the master plan of how the park was always envisioned to be.

That's why I said they should make a city area.. like New York or Chicago. That's America and it's a GREAT part of American culture.

The chance of great america getting a new section soon is very slim. if they ever add another one i wouldn't be surprised if it is a lot like the golden kingdom like at great adventure, however that isn't really part of america.
