Tree clearing serves more than one purpose. Just because they remove trees, doesn't mean the ride is coming out.
Something I've been thinking about. How long can Whizzer keep it's station the way it is. I mean, the only way in or out is up or down stairs. I would think the park would have to get that station up to standards and make it handicapped accessable. I would like nothing more than to see the station get a nice makeover and add ramps in the exit.
Oh, and I saw tree clearing by Demon, well acually they were trimming trees. Does that mean that Demon is getting removed? No.
Again, Neither side can cite any sources in this argument, but I think the side thinking that Whizzer won't be removed is a bit more valid considering that Six Flags JUST built a waterpark and will be adding a Tornado next season. Why would they build a multimillion dollar rollercoaster as well?
^Well thats because Demon got wacked by a tree and valley'd so they always trim trees on Deomn.
As for Whizzer, the trees are a BIG part of it's ride. It's pretty much fully covered in trees during the course of the ride, and if they were removing mass amounts of trees then that might tell you something.
If Whizzer is removed, I hope that something revolutionary goes in it's place.

^I think that's what caused it to be stuck in the loop back in 98 if I'm not mistaken. Wasn't there a huge stick on the track which caused one of the wheel assemblies to get all messed up?

No, the reason Demon stalled in the second loop was because of the last car's wheel assembly. There was a minor flaw in the assmebly which caused it to fall apart I believe.
The point I was trying to make by remarking that they were trimming trees around Demon, was that tree removal/trimming does NOT indicate they are removing a ride at all. Nobody can bring any evidence to the table except the tree clearing idea to support whizzer being removed. Heck, they trim/remove trees around every ride sooner or later.
Whizzer is such a small confined ride that they could build right around it or put the towers right in its open areas if a new ride was going in there anyway.. Just have to wait and see.. if you start to see painted markings on the ground starting to pop up, you can start speculatiing on something going in then.

Well im proberly sure screamscape is wrong byt they have recived more info about the Whizzer leaving from more sources! And we know how hard it is to get into screamscape.
Yup, just don yourself a convincing source and come up with a story that seems possible. Seriously, though I saw that today, I've given up any belief that any ride is in danger of removal until I hear it straight from the horses mouth.
I am also not going to believe anything until I hear it from the park officials themselves. Now I know screamscape isn't as reliable as it may seem. However, what would be the cause of removing so many trees around the Whizzer? Especially the Whizzer, considering the best part of the ride is the trees. I'm sure Six Flags would not remove trees for no reason. If anything they would just trim the trees. Could this be something for Hurricane Harbor? Could they be doing Rehab on the ride during the offseason? Or could the Whizzer meet its demise at the end of this season? All these questions and more will have to be answered by officials. Right now these are just things to think about. The season will come to an end, and we will eventually find out the future. So until then lets just keep this as a discussion, and not a speculation, rumor mill, and/or an arguement.
Maybe there is a possibilty of a ride being built partially over the Whizzer. Where they would squeeze the rest of it in I have no idea. Hopefully this whole Whizzer rumor stays just that... a rumor.
If there really is large amounts of tree clearing... can someone maybe take a few pics next time they are there?
They probably aren't removing whole trees. It's probably just tree branches, so that people don't try to grab leaves. If you go on the GASR you can see tree branches that are removed from IW, so is IW being knocked down too now.

The "Tree Clearing" you guys speak of is basically 2 piles of branches next to Whizzer that were trimmed off the trees. There was also a pretty big part of a tree trimmed near the final brake run.

Didnt you hear W00dland, SF is exerimenting with a new tree removal system. They take each tree down branch by branch, and re-assemble them at other Sf Parks
Its the new SF-Tree trade system.
I heard that the big oak is going to Magic Mountain!
