V2 Closed

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I've noticed that V2 has been closed for the past few days, does anyone know what is up with it? The train is stopped in the station and there are two ladders next to it. The train looks farther back than it should be as the last car is almost hanging out of the station.

Can't say I know exactly why it's closed. V2 isn't exactly RB though when compared to reliability. Probably just routine maitnence.

I noticed that it's farther in the station. The whole first seats are on the launch track and the last seats are sitting where you would board rows 11-12. I think it's still closed from the power outage a week ago (but I'm not sure)
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

It's been open since the power outage. It is another ride along with Demon and Sky Trek Tower that are down for maintence.

None of them are being removed :).

Here is the scoop:
V2 will be removed and we will get the TUMBLEWEED B&M 4D coaster. Its name will be changed to fit the theme of the area. Construction is expected to start in September. STAY TUNED!!!
For those of you who do not know sarcasm, that^ is it.

Seriously though, V2 is a roller coaster which is a machine. Machines need maintence every so often. Give them time and V2 will open soon, more then likely better then ever.
V2 IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND THE SAME GOES FOR DEMON AND SKY TREK TOWER. ENOUGH WITH THOSE RUMORS!
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

For a moment i thought you were starting that rumor game again, but it is just sarcasm.

Thank god.

Well the latest rumors are pointing twords the worlds tallest and fastest coaster. It will use the Spikes from V2, half of Demon's lifthill, and STT for supports so they are just shutting down those rides to prepare for construction.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro
Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2

Oh and don't forget. It will also use 95% of Whizzer, 12% of shockwave, and possibly 2 of v2's seats as well as the spikes.

Sorry everyone, like rctfan said, it's a machine which needs maintenece. Demon and STT need this as well. For those of you in the office who
recently sent your fax machine to be refurbished, this is kinda like it just not that serious.
