Pet Peeves

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I definetly agree with this one. It is VERY annoying when people do that. They sit there and try an agrue with you then try to bargain with you. I mean what the heck? Is it that hard to understand NO?

Another peeve of mine is people who can't follow the rules.

These kind of people not only frusturate the employees but also make the other guests upset. I just wish alot of people would just do what the employees ask and just FOLLOW THE RULES. Every thing would run a lot smoother if that happened. Then again, that would be too easy.

Line jumpers also make me very mad. Now I have done it once which was when I 1st went on Bull with my family and wanted to get up to them cause they were going to buy a picture. I was like 13 and in a crappy school back then so yeah. I don't do that anymore as it is just wrong.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Ignorant folks are always annoying, but my main peeves are that I'm a DDR player and no one that plays DDR in the arcades at six flags is a DDR player so they beat the crap out of those machines, poor little ddr machines, what did they ever do to you?
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.

Agreed. It shows your having fun which is what riding coasters and other rides is all about. I do it on RB's 1st drop. Not like crazy or anything but I do yell WOOT.

This year with Hurricane Harbor.

1.) People who walk right in front of you when you're sitting on a chair with your blue rental tube and they try to take it and walk off like nothing happened.
2.) People that you don't even know who sit down on the chair that you are sitting on.

Oh boy I sure do have alot of these! Here we go

People in general
People who are always feeling each other in line
People who think they are all cool by using profanaties
People who smoke in line, are asked to put it out, do, then light up another
People who walk around the park wearing only bathing suits (especially women as at BGT their either really fat or really ugly, most of the time both).
People who think they know EVERYTHING about coasters
People who put up their hands the whole lift hill, then put them down for the rest of the ride.
People who are in second row that jump into 1st row before the 1st row people get to their seats.
People who are blind drunk and ask if they can skip ahead of you in line at the food court so they can get another beer (it happened)
People who think they can outsmart you into thinking they are in the row your going to board
People who make out with thier boyfriend/girlfriend in line
People who act like they know you so they can get ahead of everybody.
and my #1 pet peeve: People who swear and curse so loud everyone can hear them, and even right behind them were 5-6 year old children...

Two quick stories about some of the above mentioned things:

In line for Sheikra opening day there was this EXTREAMILY fat, ugly, hairy and manly girl in front of us. She (I think it was a she) was wither his/her sister, who was very top heavy and wearing a bathing suit (yeah she was fat and ugly too). Well, this whole time they were complain at each other and my friend and I were just in disbeleafe at how stupid they were. There was a family consisting of a mother and her son and daughter who were arounf 7 or 8 years old. Then the two hermafrodite's little sister who was maybe 12 cam into line and I thought to myself "should I report them, or just leave it alone because they would most likly swear her out and make her get outta line". Long story short, the little sister eventuially left crying after her sisters pretty much killed her. The Hindenburg and her sidekick Anna Nicole eventuially got to sheikra (although Mr(s). Fatass kept sitting of footers and my friend and I were taking bet's on how long before they would break) and were told they were too big to ride. Yay were all happy and those fatasses recieved a round of applause after being asked to exit the station.

Another one was when me and my friend were in line for food at the little steak house at BGT. These two drunk ladies come and ask us if they could skip in line so that they could get another beer. We said now, they told us we were 12 and had no clue what beer is. Next we get twards the part of the line where it splits, they laugh as they get a whole 2 feet in front of us (which was short lived) then decided to play "Get the beer!". They said whoever get's the beer first wins! SO we reported them and they were ejected from the park.

Okay Im done

Thank You Colin, you've given me enough evidence to stay out of Florida for the Rest of My life!

Oh, yeah and that thing about people who have their hands up on the lift but not the ride. God, how I hate that!

^ Guilty...sometimes. Smoking in line, depending on my breathing...I'm asthmatic, so I have problems at times. Other times, I can ignore it. I used to smoke, so I can't say too much. I usually don't. Just depends on how hot/muggy it is. If I'm having trouble already then, it usually will annoy the heck out of me.

Ditto on the obnoxious people. Yeah, get excited, but don't be obnoxious about it. Believe me, I have been with someone like that at the park, and it is REALLY embarrassing. Although, I say that now, and once everything gets flowing next month when I'm there, I may get a little excited too. I am a little crazy.......

Well I guess I annoy about 90% of the population here. I'm obnoxious all the time. The best way to have fun at a park is to be loud. It's not hurting anyone and it usually makes people laugh. Lighten up.

Hm..my pet peeves...

There's way too much to list, even just park ones, so lets see what I can dig up quick..

1-Line jumpers...never have, never will...always complain when I see it

2-People who smoke in line for rides...I smoke myself, but do not in lines as a courtesy to others, aside from following the rules...If you do it, get told to put it out, then relight when noones watching, you're an ass plain and simple...

3-People who needlessly shriek and scream on rides, especially in tunnels...sure, I make noise too..usually just limited to yays and whees, but there's really no reason to shriek like little girls, unless of course you are one

4-People that wear flip flops, sandals, or regular shoes, and feel the need to show the world their nasty dirty/stinky/ugly feet whenever they're on something like giant drop or Batman, or especially Superman and I happen to be the one directly behind them looking at said feet...shoes people, shoes!

5-People who act like total slobs and go out to their vehicles in the parking lot to have lunch, then leave all their trash just sitting there in the lot...its gross, in bad tastes, and makes me feel sorry for the poor dudes/chicks who have to go out and pick all that crap up and make it look nice and clean again

6-People who dont pay attention to their kids as they do annoying things like stand on switchback/line rails, run around yelling and being a nuisance, spitting on peoples heads from above, etcetera...

7-Older idiots with no consideration for other human beings and do the same types of things I just said under 6..

8-People who feel its their duty to spit or throw things at the Superman/friends/villans cutouts while in line for the ride...also desecrating Bruce Wayne's dad's memorial stone with wads of chewed gum..this really offends my sense of decency as disrespect for the dead, even if it is fake..

9-Seeing all this Iron Cross and Confederate flag imagery in the leather shop located in southwest territory, among other shops...I realize the Confederates were the south, but as a white, non-racist, Northern person of Germanic descent this seriously offends me and shouldn't be treated as acceptable fare in a family park...go buy your redneck nazi souveniers elsewhere

10-The fact that they never seem to wipe clean the eternal black slimey dirt out of the insides of the restraints for Iron Wolf, Batman, and the like

I'm sure theres a lot more that I could come up with, but I'll stop here as this has gotten pretty lengthy...and for every one of you that may disagree with one of these ten listed, I'm sure theres a lot more who agree..

Oh, yes..one more..

11-Good safety is one thing, but seatbelts on a merry go round?...PLEASE!..GIVE ME A BREAK
